    Jana Kay remake 975992avril52

Full name: Jana Kay Joyce Robertson.

    Age: 14.

    Gender: Female.

    Eyes: Bright green.

    Hair: Blonde.

    Height: Roughly 65 inches.

    Body Type: Rectangle shape.

    Skin Color: Tanned.

God Parent: Demeter, goddess of bio cereals and agriculture.

Family (feel free to skip this part):
Father: Fergus Robertson, a Scottish fruit and vegetable farmer. He's a very warmhearted man who is happy with what he has and lives for his family and his job. He does a lot of dad jokes.
Stepmother: An Mackenzie. An has always been Jana's mother. Even though she knows she's not her child, Jana Kay still calls her Mum, and An treats her like her own daughter. Like her husband, she's a very warm and perky individual who loves to tell jokes and bake chocolate chip cookies.
Sisters: Sheri and Opal. Jana Kay's little twin sisters. Both ten years olds are true daredevils who never get tired. They always run around the house, have water fights, paint on the walls and sneak outside instead of doing their homework.

    Country of Origin: UK. (Scotland)

    Pets:

→ A cocker spaniel named Vivaldi.
→ An orange tiger cat with white paws called Summer.
→ Both pets stay at home, she doesn't take them to Camp Half-Blood.

    Talents:

    → Cooking.
    → Painting.
→ Playing the violin. (She does so in a youth orchestra.)
→ Telling dumb puns. Actually I'm not quite sure that's a talent.
    → Biochem.
    → Volley ball.
    → Table tennis.
→ Riding horses and pegasi. (Her stepmother gives horse riding lessons so she learned there.)

    Weapon**:

→ A celestial bronze sword named Crop. It turns into an iPhone which always changes to resemble the second latest model.
→ A celestial bronze dagger shaped like a highland dirk. She carries it around more than her sword.
→ A labrys, gift of Demeter. It turns into a golden hair needle shaped like an ear of wheat.

    Armor:
→ A normal Greek hoplite armor; vertical crest of horse hair died green, shield embossed with the picture of a stylized crop.

Physical appearance (feel free to skip this part):
    → Large green eyes.
→ Long blonde hair. She often streaks it with chalk die or braids it with random plants like buttercups or tomatoes.
    → Lanky.
    → Long feet.
    → Tanned skin.
    → Heart-shaped face.
    → Pointed nose.
    → Large mouth.
    → Thin lips.
    → Tall for her age.
→ She looks a lot like a younger Honey Lemon (I realized that when I was watching Big Hero 6).
→ Wardrobe: she wears playful clothes, with unexpected details and lots of bright colours.

    Personality:
    → Perky
    → Upbeat
    → Whimsical
    → Effusive
    → Hopeful
    → Awkward
    → Impulsive
    → Optimistic

    Flaws:
    → Naive
    → Awkward
    → Over-protective (fatal flaw).

Abilities (must relate to god parent; optional):
→ She knows the name of every plant she sees. (Including the Latin name.)
→ She can communicate with serpents, pigs and lizards, as they are Demeter's sacred animals.
→ Being in fields makes her stronger, like Percy when he's in water. Also, wheat, barley, poppies and mint give her strength boosts (15 additional percent of her usual strength.)
→ She has a certain empathy to plants, which means that, when touching a plant, she can have seismic senses through the roots. The deeper the roots, the more she can feel. It works better with trees as you might guess -- well, better than with dandelions anyway.

Powers (must relate to god parent; optional):

Plant growth. She can make up to 7 plants grow and needs 3 posts cool down. Maximum 3 meters high, she has to be at max 10 meters from them to operate her powers.
Plant manipulation. She can manipulate a plant for maximum 3 posts. This includes DNA manipulation to change their color, or make them release lethal neurotoxins (work on normal monsters eg hellhounds and drakons) and pheromones. Double cool down.
Surf. Whenever she's in meadows and fields, she can order the plants to create a wave on which she can surf, maximum one meter fifty above the ground. She can hold it for two posts. Double cool down.
Hunger. Twice a day, Jana Kay can give people a feeling of starvation and hunger that doesn't go away even if they eat (like Demeter did with Erysikhthon).  It feels like the victim didn't eat/drink for a day. It lasts for four posts maximum, double posts cool down. Children of Adephagia are better at resisting it.

    Life Before Camp*:
→ Jana Kay was born on Mount Olympus, in Demeter's temple. She got carried down to her father's house by Zephyr in a golden cradle.
→ She grew up in Stirling, Scotland, with her father and stepmother. Her sisters were born when she was four.
→ The farm was only ten minutes away from Stirling, so Jana Kay spent a lot of time there. It belongs to her father and aunt, and they sell pretty much everything from fresh turnips to homemade jams and chutneys.
→ They don't have any animals apart from chicken, but her stepmother owns a riding center not far away. Jana Kay grew up in the middle of the horses and loves riding as much as a hot batch of cookies.
→ Despite problems at school (due to dyslexia and ADHD), Jana Kay did get good grades in some lessons, mainly biology, chemistry, sports and Ancient Greek.
→ When she was nine, she got attacked by a dracaena but fortunately got saved by a friend who turned out to be a satyr.
→ He took her with her parents' approval to Camp Half-Blood, where she spent the summer.
→ Jana Kay participated in the battles of the Labyrinth and Manhattan.
    BoO spoiler:

    Any notes about your characters:
    → Portrayed by Avril Lavigne.
→ She swears in ice cream flavors.

    Powers:
    - How large would the tree (her maximum limit) be at most?
    - How long would it take for a plant to grow?
    - Up to how far away could she be at most from the plants in order to manipulate them?
    - When she's doing a sort of offensive manipulation (such as controlling them to move), how long would this last?
    - When she manipulates the plants to release "lethal" neurotoxins, how bad could these be?
    - How far away could she be at most from a person in order to use the hunger power on them?

    → Three meters tall.
→ A minute? Depending on how big it is.
    → Ten meters.
    → Five minutes.
→ Well they can kill monsters. She doesn't make these toxins lethal for humans/demigods thouggh.
    → Ten meters.

    Abilities/Powers:
    - When she's in a field, does it have to be of a certain size or above in order for the boost to occur?
    - For the note about the wheat, barley, poppies, and mint, does she need to ingest them to get a boost? (Is this a slight additional boost or counted as part of the field one?)
    - Reduce the max distance for the plant manipulation to around 6 meters or so.
    - How long would it take for said toxins to affect/kill monsters, though?
    - Any way to resist the effects of the hunger power?
    - Edit in the info I asked for in my last post.

→ Tbh I didn't really think the size of a field would matter I mean... it's a field. As long as agriculture plays a concrete role in it, it boosts her energy up.
→ Slight additional boost. And no she doesn't because I don't know how a poppy would taste; they're like tiny pockets of energy which she can use only once. I mean yeah ingesting mint would give her a boost too but she doesn't need to eat everything Demeter-related she gets her hands on.
    → Sure thing.
→ I would say ten seconds.
→ Well... considering eating had no effect on Erysikhthon, I will say no on this one.
→ I'm doing all the editing in the end.

    A/P:
    - Slight boost -- as in... 1-5% or what?
    - For the neurotoxins: For any monster of any size?
    - You're gonna need to give people a way or two to resist (ie: being child of, say, Demeter or Adephagia).
    - Also, how bad is the starvation -- like the victim hasn't eaten in x amount of days?

(I'm looking up Erysikhthon's story -- didn't Limos have something to do with why he was "starved," or did Demeter directly curse him?)

→ Slight boost as in 15 percent, as said.
→ Well of course it wouldn't work on Typhoon, but regular monsters, yes: hellhounds, drakons, etc.
    → Sold.
→ The starvation would be, the victim hasn't had anything to eat/drink for one day.
→ Yeah Greek mythology, there are a lot of versions of the same myths. Some say Demeter ordered Limos to take control of Erysikhthon, the version I read said that Demeter cursed him directly.

    A/P:
    - Reduce its effectiveness on monsters (ie: longer time period to take effect and kill).
    - Rest of the stuff should be fine.

(Do you happen to have a source such as an author/book title/url for said version of the myth?)

→ Well what would you be comfortable with? In my last form it took like, an hour to kill monsters and let's agree, that's totally useless. Even in a fight, ten seconds is a really long time.

→ I think it was Mythology by Edith Hamilton.

I would say around 5-10 minutes should be fine. (I'm assuming it might take longer to take effect with larger monsters?)

5-10 minutes? That's.... Ages. Even Percy managed to battle Hyperion in less time than that. I don't think it's a matter of time here but more of dosage; the less poison there is the more time it takes for it to kick into action.

Percy is a Big Three demigod who also had the Curse of Achilles and, basically, a slight elemental advantage over Hyperion as well as having a bunch of satyrs (and nymphs?) who helped him trap the god before he could recover. Those would probably be major factors in cutting down the fight time.

Also: 5 minutes to kill isn't necessarily long, considering that it'll probably start to take effect much sooner, gradually weaken them over time and give your character/her allies an advantage over them to either escape or kill it faster than the toxin would -- killing them in 10 seconds is, to me, much too fast.

But anyway: What would be the minimum dosage of poison required to affect any size of monster, and how long would it take to affect/kill?

    Good point :P

Minimum dosage would be 10 ml and take eight minutes to kill.

Mhm. And by increasing the dosage by x amount, how much time will be shaved off the time it takes to kill? (How heavily would the time limit be affected by the weight/size of the victim?)

I don't see why it would be affected by the weight or size of the victim? Once the poison gets in the blood, it takes 8 minutes to act.
Doubled, it takes half the time.

Edit in the limits on her powers (ie: maximum plant height for growth, range for the hunger and manipulation, etc) and then this'll be approved.
