Ice Cream Time [private]

Ana walked into the Mess Hall still holding Derek's hand and smiled when the Ares kids saw her. She may have hated them all but she still needed to be nice. Her little dress blew behind her a little as Spike ran next to her and guarded her protectively. If there was one thing about owning a Doberman it was that nobody wanted to get between that dog and whatever he was doing. The little girl smiled as her lily, whom she named Lila, danced and bounced to a beat in the sunlight.

Derek walked into the mess hall with the little Ares, Ana, holding his hand as he searched for a place for them to sit. He finally found a place by the window and sat down. "So, tell me. What type of ice cream do you like, Ana?" He asked her with a smile on his face.

Ana sat in her chair and giggled when her feet dangled just above the floor. I like Vanilla Bean and Mint Chocolate Chip.She smiled and said putting the pot on the table.

Derek smiled, nodding to show her that she was saying. "I love cake batter ice cream." The son of Demeter got up from the table and went to get them some ice cream. He came back to the table with two cups, one Mint Chocolate chip and one Cake batter. "There ya go, Ana."

Ana let out a small squeal of delight as she scooped a big spoon full of mint chip into her mouth, savoring the cool sweet.Father never left any money for sweets in the house. He would always spend it all on alcohol. I like it here so I can get sweets.She smiled as she took another bite and slowly let it melt I'm her mouth before swallowing.

Derek chuckled and scratched underneath his chin, taking a spoonful of his rich tasting cold cream. He really enjoyed spending time with the little daughter of Ares. "So I'm guessing life at home wasnt very pleasant, huh?"

Ana shook her head but giggled anyway.Thats why i like here much more. I can be myself without worry about what might happen. The little blonde smiled as she ate more of her ice cream and watched the Lily dance and sway in the sunshine.

Derek smiled softly at the young demigod, taking a scoop of his ice cream and putting it into his mouth. It was ashame that she had to go through this at such an early age in her life. "[color:c7c6=00cc00]Well now you're among friends, Ana." He stated as the lily seemed to nod in agreement.

I know that now.The little girl giggled as she got some of the ice cream on her nose. Ana tried using her tongue to get it off but she couldn't reach it, that didn't stop her from continuing her quest.

Derek smiled and and got a napkin. "Let me get that for you, Ana." He laughed softly, wipping the melted ice cream off of her nose. "There you go."

Ana giggled and thanked Derek when the ice cream was off her nose. The daughter of Ares giggled even more when she saw Spike sit on the floor next to her and whimper, wanting some ice cream as well.Only one Spike. She giggled, giving the dog one spoonful of her sweet treat.

Derek watched her as she fed her dog Mint Chocolate Chip...Chocolate? He quickly jumped up and ran over to the dog, sticking his finger down his mouth before he could swallow. "Oh my gods, no!"

Ana shrieked as Derek reached down her dogs throat for the chocolate.Stop it! You'll hurt him! He eats chocolate all the time. The small girl said as she felt tears well in her eyes from fright. She knew it was a risk to feed chocolate to a dog but Spike had always been fine before and he was fine now, she could tell.
