The strawberry fields are a surprisingly calm place to be, especially if they're empty. The quiet buzz of bees, the gentle whistling of whatever birds were around, and the quiet shouts of campers far of, but no human noise near. With the sun high overheard, lying in the fields can seem like a dream, or like lying in a field straight out of a storybook. The bees aren't really part of the fairytale land, but they're kind of difficult for a child or Aristaeus to get rid of. You learn to love them. They're very lovable, friendly bees. Nix promises.
The girl in the field, Nix, had had quite the eventful morning. She took an unplanned swim, courtesy of some annoying Hermes prank, and then she had to do dishes with the harpies for missing lessons because she was removing the lake scum from her hair. She'd finally gotten it all out just in time for lunch, and to be told of her punishment. She really wasn't looking forward to dinner, but what can she do? She still smells like the lake, a bit. That's never going away. The emptiness of the fields and the smell of strawberries are almost enough to mask it. Almost.
ooc: please tell me if you'd like me to post more into the character rather than setting or if there's just generally something you'd like me to change. also i pay like zero attention to seasons so like sorry about that. i just kind of make camp a perpetual spring because i don't feel like debating how much snow there is or whatever.
