Instead of Mr. Just think Ms. :

    Got Inspired :

    Theme Song!:

    Name: Valerie Alexandrina Harrington Crowley

    Nickname: Val, Lexi, Magical Val

Age: 17 years old. She was born in October 12 1997.

    Gender: Female

Eyes: Valerie has cheerful blue eyes that sometimes shine with optimism and sometimes are deep and dark. She is known for her strong eyes.

Hair: Shoulder-lengh pitch black hair. Curls naturally.

Height: 5'9. She considers herself slightly above-aveage size yet does not think she is tall or statuesque.

Body Type: She has a straight/pencil/banana shape since she doesn't have her hips or shoulders bigger than each other. She does however sometimes uses slightly thicker or rounder outfits so she could gain the illusion that she has more hips. She does not consider herself attractive or beautiful and thinks she is jus plain.

Skin Color: Fair, does not tan easily.

God Parent: Hecate, Goddess of Magic and Witchcraft

    Mortal Parent:

    • Father, Maximilian Gaius Crowley: A successful businessman who inherited his mother's titles of nobility.
Due to his bloodline, he is a Duke in Austria and is a Marquess in the United Kingdom. While he has enough money due to his family to live amongst the highest elites in Europe, he prefers to only use his family wealth in extreme circumstances. Due to his bloodline he is the owner of several palaces and castles across Europe, principally Austria, Spain and England. He usually rents these palaces and castles he doesn't use to families across the world who wish to live in his property until he decides to move in, if he is compelled to. He is a man who shuns lavishness though and prefers to live more frugally than what is expected of his position, preferring to live in a more-than comfortable conglomerate of suites in London instead of one of the several grand residences he owns. His business is banking and as such he is the owner of a successful corporation called Crowley & Smith International Finances, which is the parent company of five banking companies he managed to annex after successfully becoming the majority stockholder of the corporations. He was born in Austria yet lives primarily in Britain.

    • Grandmother, Violetta Albinia Crowley: an aristocratic woman who was once a duchess of Austria, but surrounded her title to her son after he became thirty. She is the principal benefactor of her son's corporation and holds one of the oldest accounts in the bank. She also holds a large amount of corporate stock in his son's Crowley and Smith International and is an active member of the Board of Directors. Known for her silver tongue and her victorian etiquette, Violetta is quite strict and unyielding, often leading the discussions of the Board of Directors whenever he son or Mr. Smith, the other principal owner of the corporation, are absent. She was born in Hungary but lived most of her life in Austria. She is a happy widow due to how boring his life was.

    • Sister, Margaret Crisalia Crowley: a sixteen year old girl who is not interested in rich socialite culture like her sister. She is currently a student in London but has a summer home in New York where she visits her father whenever she wants to. She also holds an account in her father's bank and owns a small amount of stock, thus making sure the Crowley family continues to hold a firm grip over the company if both Maximilian and Violetta fail to do so. She is considered a brilliant student who excels in business and economical studies and inherited her father's brilliance for business.

Country of Origin: Austria, but was raised in London.

Pets: She has a pet dragon that she uses to burn down her enemies with! ( not!) She sadly has no pets, but would love to get a pet Siberian Husky.

    Talents:

    • She is skilled at hand-to-hand combat and Italian renaissance fencing.

    • She can read four hundred words per 45 seconds.

    • She has basic knowledge on medicine and can identify medicinal herbs from poisonous ones

    • She is an avid writer of prose and has worked on several short stories, though none is published.

    • She inherited her father's financial brilliance and is a gifted negotiator.

    • She is a polyglot since she knows German, English Portuguese and Italian. She learned mostly by reading books on other languages.

    • She is ambidextrous.

    • She can dress-up nicely due to her background as a nobleman's daughter and can get along with people who are not of high birth just as well.

Weapon: Valerie uses a one handed sword that is a mix between a broadsword and a rapier. The blade is made out of celestial bonze and has no ornamentations, aside from the basque-hilt that protects her hand when she uses it. The blade is slightly larger than three feet since she likes to keep her enemies away for an additional two or three inches. The sword has been in her family for generations, but was reforged into using celestial bronze for the blade shortly after she arrived to Camp.

    Valerie Crowley Barbossa-sword-limited-edition-pirates-of-the-caribbean

Personality: In many ways, Valerie works extremely hard to break the old-money stereotype she is often pegged as in hopes of fitting in with the people around Camp and in her life. While she can be prone to sarcasm and witty snarking comments, she is often upbeat and cheerful. She likes to go out and party constantly and gets along with children from Dionysus just fine. She is also quite the conversationalist and has a way of making the most monotonous conversations gain some bit of entertainment to them. A progressive woman, Valerie is a true lawyer to gender equality and believes that men and women are equal under laws of both man and divine, often advocating for referendums and changes in national constitutions that treat genes equally. rmined individuals. She loves meeting new people and finds fascinating, intellectually-stimulating conversations to be one of her passions. She has an affinity for classical music, specifically music that falls under the Baroque category, but is equally fond of contemporary music such as pop and dubstep.

when it comes to it, Valerie has a very open mind and will try anything at least once. She keeps a very open mind when it comes to dating, but holds a slight preference over boys. She is not a very judging person and prefers to keep the arguments for the salon or for the mess hall. Contrary to her image, she is a girl that enjoys her food and can often be seen eating randon items of food such as potatoes or carrots in the middle of the day. She however can be quite reckless and has a habit of lashing out to people when she is in the midst of a debate or an argument. While she tries to be calm and collective, she can be bubbly and energetic, if she eats the right food mind you. She is also quite selfless since she will often volunteer if she sees other people struggling with their chores or performing a difficult task. As an added benefit she enjoys teasing people quite a bit, but draws the line at rudeness and would never insult a person intentionally.

Another important aspect of Valerie is her mindset. While she can often be seen surrounded by children of Apollo or Athena, she has a tendency to sometimes run away from everything without saying anything and just runs of to somewhere she can be alone by herself. She enjoys people but does not like being surrounded by them. In addition to that, she is a stern pacifist, preferring to use her words and skills as a negotiator to avoid conflict. As a daughter of a man who literally made his own business from scratch, Valerie is a powerful advocate of Capitalism, particularly Laissez-Faire Capitalism and is against all ideas concerning Socialism. She believes that the world is made by those individuals who stand out from he rest and those individuals who struggle, compete and dominate their peers in their pursuit of grandeur. As such she can be a bit ruthless when dealing with people she deems as conservative, comformatist and capitalist.

    Flaws:

    • she is impulsive and sometimes overly-passionate about her ideals

    • She is bull-headed and stubborn

    • She is reckless and ruthless

    • She is prone to confrontations

    • She can come off as arrogant

    • She is impatient

    • She has a quick-temper and a forked tongue when provoked

    • She can be too naive

    • She usually gets hurt during fights due to her abhorrence towards violence

    • While she is generally respectful, when she is upset/angry, she drops the nice act and becomes nasty and mean.

Abilities: As a daughter of Hecate, Valerie is gift several trials and abilities she has used in the past.

    [list]
[*]Animal Communication: She can communicate to animals that she has pet previously. For an animal to be considered an animal she has met previously she has to have at least seen the animal for at least a day before establishing communications with them.

    • Night-Vision: She can make her eyes see in the dark at night.

    Powers:

Mystokinesis: As the daughter of the Goddess of Magic, Valerie has an entire arsenal of spells she can use. For her to use them she needs to chant her spell in either latin or greek. Her spells have different durations and cooldowns. These are her spells:

    • Mist Control: Valerie can control Mist for a number of purposes such as, the ability to hide herself wit hit by cloaking herself with it, the ability to disguise people and beings, and the ability to summon Mist cards. For her cloaking abilities,  her duration is two posts and the cooldown is three posts. She can cloak anything that is as tall or shorter than her and is not wider than three feet in length.

    • Telekinesis: Valerie's strongest power. By tapping into her blood as a demigod, this daughter of Hecate is capable of moving objects with her mind or with her gestures. Her prowess with this power is such she can lift  bowling-ball size orbs of water and medium-sized boulders against her enemies. Her skill with this power also extends to herself since she can use it to lift herself up from he ground and move about, in a way similar to limited levitation. She cant however a living person and cannot influence a living person with her telekinetic powers in any way. She can lift a maximum of two hundred pounds with her telekinesis. For small, baseball-sized objects, she has a cooldown of three posts and a duration of two posts. Large sized objects like her orbs of water or boulders, she has a cooldown of four posts and a duration of three posts. She can lift objects that are around a 10 feet radius from her.

    • Appearance Change: while not as adept as children of Aphrodite, she can alter her hair color and eye color at will. Her changed appearance has a duration of three posts and a cooldown of five posts. She is strictly limited to having the ability of just chaining her eye and hair color, she cannot change her body-shape or physical form at will.

    • Food-Channeling: She can summon foods such as potatoes, fruits and vegetables out of thin air, yet cannot make whole meals such as roasted chicken or salted pork appear. She uses this power constantly due to her voracious and aggressive eating habits. She can summon p to five items of food and she can bring out food for three posts and has a cooldown of five posts. The food she summons comes directly from the Mess Hall on Camp Half Blood. She placed a secret spell on the Mess Hall that allows her to teleport food from the Mess Hall to her side. This food stays in existence even after her three posts are done. If their is no food in the Mess Hall she can summon food from her trunk in her cabin, which also has several articles of food that she stores inside. These foods however are not meals and are mainly fruits and vegetables she can just leave inside. She has to change the food in her trunk daily to make sure nothing spoils.

    • Shape-shifting and atomic rearrangement: She cannot turn herself or anybody else into animals or objects, but she can change the form, shape and atomically state of the objects she lifts up with her telekinetic powers. She can make loose water atoms harden and thus make the water freeze into sharp icicles or make jagged rocks turn blunt like clean slates. She can give distinctive shapes to the objects she lifts, such as making the rocks she lifts turn into small statues and such. She can even turn glass into small particles of dust/ This power has a cooldown of four posts and a duration of two posts. Unless the object she re-arrange don't break or shatter, they return to their original state after the duration of her spell.

    • Limited Pyrokinesis: She can create baseball-sized orbs of fire and hurl them at her enemies. This has a cooldown of two posts and a duration of one post. Her flames burn at 600 degrees fahrenheit

Life Before Camp: Though Valerie comes from a famous noble family centered in Austria, she never lived an aristocrat's life. As a lass she enjoyed going to the same school as everybody else, she enjoyed playing the same games as girls her age and did not make a clear distinction between people of the nobility and of the ground. She was able to get along with almost everybody due to the fact that she shunned almost all aspects of a noblewoman's roles in society. She did dress with a bit more style and flair than most people of her age, yet this was hardly a deterrent for her upbeat and sociable ways. As a young child she never truly knew her mother and thus developed an extremely close and warm relationship with her father who not only managed to make a world-wide financial institution with the help of his friend Michael Smith, but also was a single father who did both the roles of mother and father at the same time. She never really got along with her mother who, unlike Valerie, was of haughty demeanor and of elitist mindset. The two however would enjoy sitting down in the streets of London for they afternoon tea and would occasionally share a few hobbies such as bowling and hunting. While Valerie is of Austrian heritage, due to the fact that his father moved to London right after she was born, she considered herself more English than Austrian. Still, she learned how to speak perfect German and at the same times talks with a clear Queen's accent. When she was seven she moved to France and stayed their for about two years, by which sh learned how to speak French and adopted a clean accent that sounded almost as if she was a native from France. Indeed, Valerie not only managed to learn German, English and French, but she also learned how to adapt an American Accent when her father and his company's main executives moved their headquarters to Wall Street New York. As a girl who had to move across the world several times she never truly had a lot of friends to go around with, but she did have a half-sister from his father's second marriage called Margaret who was only a year younger than Valerie. The two became close and continued to be so even after permanently staying in New York. While her father tried to be with his daughters for the gist of his life, he couldn't always be their for them. Therefore, he hired an army of nannies so they could tend to his daughter's every need whenever such needs aroused. Valerie became particularly attached to a nanny called Rosa Brinia, a beautiful woman with blonde hair and grey eyes who acted like the mother of Valerie and later became wife to Maximilian. Rosa provided Valerie with many fond memories and was a center of love and attention to the young demigoddess. Little did Valerie know that Rosa was a daughter of Athena who had already went to Camp Half-Blood in her youth. Under her care, Valerie was taught the beautiful little things in life and was also taught how her father's business worked, thus teaching her the basics of capitalism. Eventually, Rosa believed that Valerie was ready to discover a life beyond parties in London and New York with her non-demigod friends and a life outside of her heritage and managed to convince her father to send her to a private american school for the truly gifted, which was really an excuse for her to go to Camp Half-Blood. And thus the rest is as they say, history.

    RP Example*:

"But if you leave the poor without a means of rising through the rank and file than we would have a system of plutocratic dynasties! I don't believe you, nor anybody in this world, would sentence thus to a world of such perpetual stratification, am I correct Master Vincent!" Said Valerie as she pointed out the flaws in his believes that capitalism was wrong.

"Surely you see that in such dark world, capitalism is to blame for the rise in poverty and decadence in our society!" retored Vincent as she narrowed her eyes to him.

"Most correct my dearest Vincent. However, allow me to refute you and your argument. Who are the ones who live in decadence and luxury? is it not those great individuals who strived, struggled and fought tooth and nail to get to their positions? Were they beings who sat down in chairs and moved to do nothing, or where they fierce individuals that fixed their bootstraps and aligned themselves for a much more prosperous future? Now, allow us to see those who are of the lowest level. I would never criticize those who are less unfortunate, but those who have the resources and the will to push forward only move upwards in a system controlled by capitalism. How would one gain recompasation in a socialist society where wealth is divided among equals and how would we grant merit to those who work hard and sacrifice? The truth is that capitalism is but a ladder that opens up a world of opportunities and pleasures one cannot imagine in any other system, hence why it is so beautiful, so perfect. It is not fair, but then again, is life fair?" said Valerie as she grasped her hands behind her backs and looked to the people in the Mess Hall. Afterwards, she saw how her companion failed to answer to her and she simply left the place and gave him a smile signaling her goodbye.

Any notes about your characters: Her face claim is Jessica Brown Findlay, most famously for playing Lady Sybil in Downton Abbey.

Gender: Please take out the word "Clearly." has it imposes on one of our rules.
Talents: reading - since 200-300 is considered average for one minute I'd assume 500 would be talent for one minute so maybe take that down to 400 for half minute?
Abilities: the first one just take out completely, doesn't have a whole lot to do with Hecate imo. Just best for it not to be there.

Fix those and I'll get back to you. :)

Gonna hop in for a second:

    A/P:
    - Summoning food and changing her appearance would belong in the powers section, not abilities.
    - Should also mention where she gets the food from and up to how far away her sources can be.
    - For her mist control, what do you mean by "mistards"? Mist forms?
    - How hot are her fireballs?

    Hi!

→ "Due to his bloodline, he is a duke four times, an earl three, a prince twice, a baron ten times, a marquis fifteen times and is an archduke once.">> Yeah... no.
→ "Due to his bloodline he is the owner of several palaces and castles across Europe, principally Austria, Spain and England. ">> what does he do with all his castles and palaces?
→ "he is the owner of more than five bank chains across the world" >> I don't know if you quite realize what it means to own one bank chain... So five? Nah.
→ " an aristocratic woman who once held the record across Europe as the woman with most titles of nobility after the Duchess of Alba" >> No. To be honest I don't even know why you're trying to make her super noble?? Also, less is more.
→ "who are not as cruel as the American and European elite" >> why do you say that?
→ "can get along with people who are not of high birth just as well." >> I don't see why you listed that as a talent but ok.
→ "yet does not go to extremes ( example saying that it should be alright for girls to take off their shirts like guys do on the beach)" >> I really wanna comment on that but ... I don't have the energy right now.
→ "finds fascinating, intellectually-stimulating conversations to be one of her passions." >> tbh a lot of people like fascinating conversations, and intellectually stimulating depends on her own intellect so that sentence is 100 percent subjective.
→ "she will date fat people, skinny people" >> seems physical appearance is a big criteria at hers.
→ "even transgendered people." >>Excuse me but... why the even?
→ "she is a stern pacifist, preferring to use her magic and spells in place of her sword.">> Being bellicose doesn't necessarily include wielding a sword. Plus magic kinda counts as a weapon.
→ Why did you list having a silver tongue under the flaws?
→ Abilities don't need cool downs.
→ Why do you have two sets of limits for the same power? (Cloaking ability). Also what's the biggest thing she could cloak?
→ You say she can lift maximum 50 pounds. I'm fairly positive she weighs more than 50 pounds though.
→ What's the maximum diameter of the levitation power?
→ "She can only do this once per thread and the effect lasts until the end of the thread">> yeah no. You need a post limit+cool down because right now you have no limit at all.
→ Food-channeling: I think you mean she can hold it for 3 posts, not do it 3 times per post. Also, what does she do when there's no food at the Mess Hall?
→ Make the atomic rearrangement cool down longer. Do the objects revert to their initial state afterwards?
→ Our limit for fire heat is 600°F.

I'm gonna cut off here cause I have to go but I'm not nearly done.

Appearance change: I would consider this to be mist effect and would like it to match duration and cool down.

Telekenisis: Ah, you say she can lift herself, but then say she can't lift living people. Unless she's a vampire, I'm going to assume she's a living person.

If she abhors violence, why is she skilled at fencing and hand to hand combat? Last time I checked, those sports were violent.

Why does dad-dude have to be so rich? If you figured that out, he'd probably be one of the top 100 richest men in the world. Which is kind of excessive. As Morgan said earlier, less is more.
