The small woods atop Half-blood hill were rustling with scents of pine and sap, insects buzzing around and birds singing overhead. Lakisha was walking up the hill, her heavy armor on her athletic body, but she was sweating. Children of Khione liked it cold, and that didn't really match camp's magical hot summer climate. She was dressed in white pants and a blue top, her brow glistening with perspiration as she arrived at the top of the hill, coming to a stop in front of the gate. Peleus snored to her left, wrapped around the tree with the glittering Golden Fleece. The Swedish girl stabbed her spear into the ground, took her helmet off and gathered her auburn hair into a ponytail, waiting for the other person who was on guard duty with her.

Re: Guard duty (private)
Kelli wondered absentmindedly who was on guard duty with her today. She was sure Dionysus or someone actually informed her at some point, but her memory was fuzzy so she couldn't be too sure. Kelli made her way through the forest, her footprints soft and silent, despite the heavy armor she wore (that she was quite proud of because she made it herself). When she made it to the top of the hill where the fleece was, she noticed another girl there, with reddish-brown hair and a spear planted firmly into the ground in front of her. Kelli took her place beside her and looked out from the hill, feeling incredibly awkward. She didn't know who she was, so she didn't know what to say.
"Uh... Hi," Kelli muttered.

Re: Guard duty (private)
Lakisha turned to look at the girl and gave her a polite but cold smile.
"You're on guard duty too?" she asked, glancing at her weapons. She had placed herself on the other side of the gate, far away from Peleus and his fire-breathing abilities. She did not show it in any way, but dragons and Laistrygonians scared her more than most monsters because of their affinity with fire. She hated fire. She loathed fire. She was terrified of fire. Her worst nightmares were always of her burning.
