    Jenny Manor Empty Jenny Manor

Post by Lindsey Callaghan 6/4/2015, 2:06 pm

    Name: Jenny Manor
    Age: 15
    Gender: female
    Eyes: Blue
    Hair: Black
    Height: 5 foot 8
    Body Type: Athletic
    Skin Color: White
    Mother: Martha T Manor
    Father: Lewis L Manor
    Legacy of: Mars and Justitia.
    Country of Origin: Canada
Talents: Can speak French and English, decent with a sword, good at soccer (football).
Weapon**: Imperial Gold Gladius and Hasta (spear)

Personality: Jenny comes across as quite shy and quiet, she doesn't talk much with the other Legionnaires though that is largely not her own fault, but the fault of her father. She is often lumbered with the worst jobs or tasks so has learned to grimly bear whatever comes her way with stoic endurance. She only has a few close friends, all of those friends know her darkest secret, well her family's darkest secret and why she tries to avoid being angered at all costs. Jenny tends to keep to herself mostly, staying out of trouble, working hard and trying to be the best Legionnaire that she can. Jenny as a result of her father's dishonour and shame finds herself constantly being judged by his actions, some Legionnaires believe that as she is the daughter of Lewis Manor the moment when things look darkest for the Legion she will desert like her father did. This led Jenny to become rather stubborn and enduring, she will never retreat or give up on anything. She constantly lives in the shadow of her father, no matter what she does to prove that she is not like her father she is still judged by his actions rather than on her own merits. Jenny dislikes the curse passed down to her because of Lewis, she is afraid of it because it is difficult to control, she tries to keep it a secret but a few members of the Legion know of it, some of those who know she wishes that they didn't.
Flaws: Short tempered, easily flustered, dislikes people who insult her parents, will never retreat without orders.
Abilities (must relate to god parent; optional): None

Powers(must relate to god parent; optional): In combat, or when Jenny becomes particularly stressed or angry such as when someone insults her family she enters what some would call Blood Rage. During this period Jenny's strength and agility is increased by 35% but at the sacrifice of her durability, making her much more vulnerable to injury. On top of this, Jenny loses or forgets her training just striking with wild fury at the enemy. Her Blood Rage lasts for three posts and can only be used once every topic. After it is over, Jenny is extremely exhausted, drained and sluggish, though she retains her former skill with weapons her exhaustion leaves her much more vulnerable to attackers as she is less able to defend herself. The curse of the Blood Rage happened when Lewis deserted the Legion in the middle of a battle when he believed the Romans were losing. Despite his desertion the Legion won the ensuing battle however, Mars angered by his son's desertion cursed him and all his descendent with Blood Rage for a result of his cowardice in battle. The Blood Rage is the most violent of tempers leading to the afflicted charging their enemy in a wild frenzy, their attacks random, uncontrolled, not elegant Roman fighting there is no form of self preservation or defence just furious anger and the desire to attack. The Blood Rage does not just happen in times of battle or conflict, it can occur during times of stress or when the afflicted are angered by something or someone, be they friend or foe.

Life Before CJ*: Jenny was born into a family of Demigods, though her mother who was also a Legionnaire did not know her husband was the Lewis Manor who deserted the Legion. She discovered the truth when Jenny turned four, leading the a terrible argument which resulted in Martha taking Jenny and leaving her father. She has never seen her father since then, Jenny doesn't even know if he is still alive. The next six years Jenny spent bouncing around various different schools getting kicked out for one reason or another, usually because she got angry with some of the other children. This resulted in a fight or several fights which then inevitably resulted in Jenny being kicked out. Eventually after being kicked out of yet another school, her mother Martha decided that it was time for her to go to Camp Jupiter so that she could be trained to control her father's curse and learn to defend herself. To this end, Martha gave her daughter two letters of recommendation, one from herself and the other from her father, who before Martha cut her out of their lives gave his former wife the letter should Jenny ever need to go to Camp Jupiter. However the night before she was due to go, wolves turned up at the door, which took Jenny to the wolf house and Lupa, where she proved herself to be worthy of Rome. Martha never did tell Jenny what act of supreme dishonour her father committed, it was only when she reached Camp Jupiter did she discover the sickening truth. It is a difficult thing to come to terms with, your own father being a deserter, his legacy is one that she hopes to escape someday.

RP Example*: The sounds of battle echoed from the fields of Mars with Legionnaire fighting Legionnaire in a pitched battle. Jenny's gladius deflected the blow of her enemy, their blades ringing sharply together, her arm tingly from the impact. She had lost her Hasta earlier in the battle, her shield a few minutes ago. Now she fought one handed with her sword, her cohort's tight formation may have been shattered but Jenny steadfastly refused to retreat, despite being heavily outnumbered, with their force almost being complete surrounded. Their centurion tried and failed to reform the cohort into any order, leading to desperate Legionnaires fighting against an inevitable outcome. Sooner or later they would fall to their enemies. She parried another strike from her opponent kicking his shield with her foot so he staggered back. Before she could take advantage of this though, another enemy appeared striking at her, swiftly she deflected the strike, forced to concede valuable ground to the enemy. She tried to seize the ground back but her attempts to advance all met with failure as more hostile Legionnaires joined the fray.  The end happened swiftly, her cohort fought back to back yet eventually they were overwhelmed. Jenny pulled herself up off of the ground her whole body one giant ache, she listened to the victorious yells of her rivals. Once a cohort lost cohesion, well the battle was pretty much decided there and then.

Powers: so basically it's a berserker rage? That's all well and fine except 50% is a tad bit too much for a legacy. Drop it down to say like 35% and I'll let it last for 3 posts instead of 2. Also for clarification you say
the sacrifice of her endurance, making her much more vulnerable to injury.
    do you mean Durability?
