bullseye -- but where's the bull? [private]

Oh, wondrous day! The sun was shining, the bees were buzzing -- and Nelly had just stubbed her toe on a rock on her way to the archery range. Ugh. She should have worn sneakers instead of flip-flops.

Since there didn't seem to be much outer damage, there was no reason for her to waste her energy on healing it; after all, she'd spent all morning in the infirmary trying to tend to some Ares boy with a fever from training out in the goddamn rain and a Demeter girl with food poisoning. Not very fun, really, since she was there with two of the newer Apollo kids who hadn't quite gotten the grasp of their powers. At least they knew how to apply a damp cloth to someone's forehead, though.

With her bow and quiver full of regular arrows slung over her shoulder, Nelly made her way into the range, grumbling to herself as she shimmied up to an open target already chock-full of holes from other people's arrows. Laying her quiver down by her feet, she took her bow and twanged the string, looking for any damage to it that might warrant replacement.
