Lost in a Book

After finding a pile of interesting books in the library, Ariana sat down at an empty table, grabbing the top book from the towering stack. As she examined the foreward, she quickly flipped to the main content of the text. Once she was only a few pages into the story, she became lost in the book, not noticing anything about her surroundings as she read. A smile spread across her face as she continued to read.

"Heya!"

Jana Kay slid into the chair across from Ariana, spreading a scroll across the table. She had an orange camp shirt, Capri shorts, a poppy crown and a pair of sandals with seashells on her feet. Her long blonde hair fell down to the middle of her back in a thin braid and her green eyes were gleaming.
The girl across was a newly claimed daughter of Athena, and Jana loved getting to know new campers. This one had a really pretty smile that warmed her heart simply by looking at it. She seemed really smart too, like all the other children of Athena.

Ariana continued reading for a few seconds before noticing the girl sitting across from her. Quickly snapping her head up, Ariana blinked her eyes a few times. "Oh, hi! I'm Ariana. And you are?" Ariana didn't always enjoy socializing with others, but she thought she would at least try. Her long brown hair was tied up into a bun, and her eyes looked slightly tired, as if she hadn't rested in a while. She wore her camp shirt over short white shorts, with a pair of grey sneakers and silver earrings.
