His bone structure makes his face look a bit hawkish, all angles and planes. His eyes are a bit offset, One slightly higher than the other. The frame of his body is slim, with not a lot of muscle to speak of. There are identical burn scars on each of his palms from where he tried to take a cookie tray out of the oven as a child. He is frequently embarrassed by his thin frame, as he wants to look and feel stronger than he is.

Flaws: Too trusting: Steven takes people at their word, and he believes in what they say. It never occurs to him that they may be lying until it's too late. Naive: He believes the best in people, and hasn't seen enough of the darker nature of men and monsters to expect anything but good. Reckless: Steven doesn't really think before he acts. He's used to being able to do what he wants to as long as he has a reason. Absentminded: He daydreams a lot, and his attention is easily drawn from one thing to the next. Consequently, he forgets things a lot. Indecisive: Steven has a big problem with decision making. Most of the time, he can't figure out what he wants to do in a certain situation, so he doesn't do anything at all, he just weighs his choices and begins to panic about it.
Strengths: Idealistic: Steven wants to make the world a better place even if he doesn't know how. Friendly: Steven is friendly with everyone. Even if they don't really like him. It can make it hard to stay mad at him. Optimistic: He always believes things will turn out for the best, and he always hopes for it. He doesn't think negatively very often.
Likes: Tennis, Singing, playing music, swimming, card games, and hiking
Dislikes: Rude people, When people are struggling, things he can't change, and negativity
Fears: Mice, disease, and losing people
Personality: Steven is incredibly friendly. He has a naturally sunny personality, and he tries to share it with everyone. He can be oblivious to a lot of things, and his naivete can be equal parts endearing and annoying. He's still fairly childish, and he likes to have fun and joke around. In situations where there isn't a lot of happiness, Steven will usually try his best to infuse it into the situation. Sometimes, he has trouble with authority. Especially when said authority is preventing him from trying to do something to help. He's reckless, and charges into situations without thinking. If someone is hurt, he'll try to help at risk to himself. He isn't afraid of death, and he isn't scared of it. He knows that death can be a relief, and so he tries to relieve other people of some of their burden, in whatever way he can. Sadly, he's a bit too absentminded and happy to provide solid, dependable comfort, but he's still young.
Abilities: Death's Door: In the event of an ally recieving mortal wounds, if they are within ten feet of Steven, their pain is lessened by half. This prevents them from going into shock, and can even keep bleeding slow through a lack of complete panic.
Death Sense: Steven can tell when someone is close to death, even if he can't determine the reason.
Powers:
Lament of the Dead: Steven has the power to put a person's last wishes and best memories into the form of a song. This power eases a person's passage into death, and helps their loved ones understand them on a very intimate level. (4 post duration, 5 post cool down)
Death Warrant: Steven can place a curse on someone that saps strength as if the intended target was close to death. This curse saps 20% of their normal strength. The curse is limited to line of sight, and he must be within 20 feet of the intended target. (2 post build up during which he may be distracted to break the curse, 7 post cooldown. Duration is determined by their acceptance of the possibility of death. If willing to die, one post. If terrified of death, five post duration. If not scared of death, the target is unaffected)
Social Status: Almost a mascot. Potentially popular, though he doesn't think of himself like that.
Summer or Year Rounder: Year rounder
Years at Camp: First year
Life Before Camp: Steven was born on New Year's eve, and his mom promply resolved to spoil him endlessly. She worked in a Cancer Ward in Raleigh, North Carolina, and it was there that she had met Thanatos. He was touched by how she eased the passing of those she cared for. She went above and beyond making the whole experience as peaceful as possible for them. All through Steven's childhood, he was a happy, friendly kid. Charlotte encouraged him in everything he wanted to do, and frequently took him to the hospital with her. Despite the morbid environment, his attitude never wavered, and he learned he liked to sing for the patients. Charlotte encouraged it, along with buying him a violin that he could play. He turned out to be a natural with the instrument, and he had a routine of going into the Ward and playing for anyone that asked, and some that he thought needed it. He also got into the habit of talking to all the patients and writing songs about them. If the worst came to pass, he would ask the patient's family to play it for them. Despite all the tears and sorrow, he loved it. It gave him a very pure outlook on humanity and the great things that compassion could do. Easing pain, inspiring, and bringing people together. His mother was so proud of him, and he quickly became a fixture in the ward. The doctors remarked that when he was there, many patients reported less pain, and their spirits went up. It was a good childhood. He dealt with severe ADHD, and as a result got put into special education classes. A lot of kids mocked him for it, but he just laughed along with him. It never occured to him that they were being mean. The older he got, the more worried his mom became. He could tell something was wrong, but he didn't ask, because he just wanted his mom to be happy. This culminated in an attack on the cancer ward by numerous Aerico. The disease demons had been residing in the hospital for some time, and they had finally sniffed him out. In his escape from the cancer ward, he bumped into a friendly volunteer that he ran into occasionally. She dragged him out of the hospital and they ran to a bus stop, all the while, Steven was yelling at her, telling her they needed to go back. She told him that the demons only wanted to hurt him, nobody else, and that if they went back, everyone else would be in danger. Her name was Maddie, and on their way north, he learned she was a Demigod. He had no idea what that meant, as she refused to tell him anything more than she thought he needed to know. He managed to sneak in a phone call to his mom at a rest stop, only to find out that she wanted him to keep going. Told him that he couldn't come back yet. It hurt to hear his mom being so forceful about him not going back, and when Maddie found him on the phone, she turned white as a sheet and slammed the phone back on the reciever. They barely made it to camp ahead of the Aerico, and the end result was Steven being stuck in a Big House bedroom for a few days fighting off sickness.
Role-playing Example: Steven was sitting on his new bunk, looking at his violin, and taking in everything around. This cabin felt weird to him. How could his dad be the god of Death? It didn't make sense. He loved life. And everything about it! Sure, he had seen more death than probably any kid his age, but that was because of where his mom worked, and what he had fun doing. He casually ran the bow along the strings, playing a soft tune. It echoed through the gloomy room, and the torches guttered and flickered. He tried to play what he thought death was about, and he started to sing. It was empty in the cabin, but his voice filled the room. He sang about life, and all we have to give. He sang about hope, and how it lives on despite death. He sang about the people he loved. The ones he talked to every day, and the ones he missed after their time came. He sang about unfairness. How one in love with life can be so closely linked with death. And he sang of acceptance. Death is not the end, especially according to greek myth. Death is but another step in a cycle. Like entering a new room. There was a single tear that dripped down his cheek as he sang about the ending of things. And while he sang of ends, and past dying regrets, he thought of his mom. He regretted running when he got attacked. He regretted not holding her closer that morning. He regretted having to leave her behind. That wasn't how he wanted the song to end, so he sang of strength, and remaining true to yourself. That the things you do can result in another life, or even paradise. He sang of the bounties that await the honest. The kind, and the noble. He sang of a sleep that came so softly it felt like home.
At that point, he lowered his bow, and set down the violin. Brushing away the tear, he cleared his throat and exited the cabin. He wanted to meet everybody. Anybody he could. His smile slowly came back until it was a full faced grin. Chiron had told him this was a summer camp. That must mean it would be a lot of fun. Steven couldn't wait. As he looked around outside, he embraced the warmth of the sunshine, and the fresh air all around. He couldn't wait to see what was in store for him.
