Personality: Ethan's a really hard worker when he needs to be. During his mortal life, he was always striving to be top of his class at school, took loads of extracurriculars and evening classes, and still managed to help out his mother with house chores when he got home. He was brought up strictly, so he's been going a bit crazy in Valhalla and really letting loose ... once he got over getting killed repeatedly every day.
He loves having fun in the snow or running around in a forest. He's at home both in nature and cities. He's also quite ambitious and rarely backs down once he wants something for himself.
Flaws: Tries too hard, a bit hung-up at times, really ambitious.
Abilities (must relate to god parent; optional): Ethan's really good at everything related to hunting. Setting up traps and nets, recognizing tracks, following a scent, that kind of stuff.

Life Before Valhalla* (include cause of death): Ethan was a good kid. He really just wanted to be there for his mother and make her proud. He worked his @rse off in class and sports, ran for committee in school clubs, did as many extracurriculars as his schedule would allow. His teachers said he was one of the most committed students they'd ever seen.
A few years before his death, his mother got in a serious relationship with one of her coworkers. At first, Ethan was really happy for her and welcomed the guy with open arms. He was excited to finally get a dad. But a year later, the relationship became abusive. Arguments happened almost every day, the boyfriend played mind games on the mother, and started hitting her. Ethan stood up for her, began fighting back and eventually they managed to get him out of the house.
They knew a short period of peace after that. The mother got another job, filed a report with the police and tried to rebuild a friendly atmosphere in their home. But a bit after his 17th birthday, Ethan came home earlier after one of his evening classes got cancelled, and walked in on his mother and her ex-boyfriend, in the middle of an argument. From what he understood, they had been texting again and she'd agreed to talk to him so he could apologize and get closure on their relationship. But now he was back and intended to stay there. Since playing the victim card and trying to make the mother feel sorry for him didn't work, he got violent and grabbed a nearby glass bottle. That's when Ethan jumped in. He took the hit for his mother, which ripped into his shoulder, and started fighting back even though he knew the boyfriend was much stronger and a better fighter than he was. He got beaten up badly, but kept on trying to land punches. The fight didn't last long. The boyfriend managed to push him out the window. Unlike Bran Stark, Ethan grabbed hold of his attacker and in a last effort to protect his mother, dragged him out of the window with him. During the fall, he caught a glimpse of a girl in a Viking helmet observing him.
Hitting the asphalt after a six storey drop killed him and the ex-boyfriend on impact.
Ethan's soul was then taken by the Valkyrie to Hotel Valhalla, where he was accepted by the Thanes and joined the other einherjar. His death may not be as heroic as others, but it was still brave and selfless.
RP Example*: Ethan was chilling in the common room of floor 22, headphones in his ears. He was wearing a comfy sweater and skinny jeans, scrolling through his K Pop playlist absently. He'd just gotten back from ice skating to the death and frankly, getting impaled by a shoe felt insulting, especially as he was the son of Ullr. This stuff wasn't supposed to happen to him.Ethan looked up to greet two room service Valkyries who were arguing about the best way to kill someone with a spear and almost smiled. After three years, he was finally starting to relax in the fight and death driven atmosphere of Hotel Valhalla. It was not as a chill as Folkvanger, but at least he had lots of stuff to do: whitewater rafting to the death, canyoning to the death, skiing to the death... He'd been here three years and he hadn't even tried everything yet!
