+ Talents: Very good at singing, decent at embroidery, extensive knowledge of herbs and plants, not a terrible dancer. Honestly her talents are pretty connected to her abilities.
+ Weapon**: Circe's parting gift to Saki. It's a small, colorfully crocheted sling bag, that when Saki yanks on the pull string to open, transforms into a bow and quiver set. The bow is very sturdy and nearly indestructible.
+ Abilities: Other than being as gifted at archery as any of her siblings, Saki also trained and learned under Circe for seven years. She has a vast knowledge of spells, charms, and herbs/oils that she learned how to make into poisons, ointments, etc. It became easier to learn and become good at the things she learned from Circe because of her combined lineage from Apollo and Hecate. She has a good grasp and ability to manipulate the Mist, both inherited from Hecate and honed by Circe. She's also good at singing, but that ties into her powers.
+ Powers: Saki's inherited powers aren't really distinguishable - she can't really separate which power she got from which god. If she sings (not necessarily a real song, just a made-up tune is fine) with intent at something she can "convince" objects to do what she wants them to. This only works on inanimate objects. For example, when Saki prepares a set of arrows, she can dip the arrowheads into the poisons she makes, but she can also sing something like "nice little arrow/when you land please blow" and it'll explode upon impact. Similarly, she can charm thread by singing - like embedding a spell of protection against fire into a length of thread and embroidering the thread into a piece of a friend's clothing (this wouldn't make the clothing fireproof, but just more resistant to fire/less likely to catch fire).
Her other power is that she can create orbs of warm light - at their lowest "setting" they are small, dim orbs that float around her hands (she can maintain this for about 4-5 posts comfortably), and at their highest power can be explosive bursts of blinding light (this could be only once every 10 posts and would be very draining).

+ Personality: Saki might be somewhat reserved at first, some shyness lingering from her nervousness when she first moved from Circe's island back to the United States - but once she's decided she wants to be friends with someone, she's endlessly bright and friendly. She's very playful with friends, physically affectionate, and likes adventures - this doesn't have to be an epic quest, it could be something like going on a roadtrip or hitting as many bars as they can at night. She's caring and loyal with friends and loved ones, loading them down with charmed stones or spell-embroidered clothes for protection or luck.
+ Flaws: Having essentially been raised on Circe's island, Saki can be rather distrustful of men at first, sometimes going so far as to physically lean away from them if they happen to be too near. On the other hand, she can be too trusting as well, sometimes becoming blind to unkindness even when it's right in front of her, and especially when it comes from a perceived friend - but once she’s angry, her temper is short and explosive, and she can make hurtful and brash decisions. She can be too talkative, trying to demand attention even when she shouldn't and getting offended when she doesn't think she's getting it. She is also frequently lazy, trying to avoid physical training or the chores she doesn't like.
+ History: Mami Tanifuji was born and raised in Hokkaido, Japan by her mother and father, until her father died in a chance gorgon attack that Mami's mother couldn't protect him from when Mami was 5 years old. Her mother trained her to fight and defend herself, until she turned 14, when her mother died in an accident and she was sent to Tokyo to live with an aunt and uncle and their children. She had known that Hecate was her grandmother, since her mom had been transparent with her from a young age. She somehow mostly kept out of danger until she was an adult and she met Apollo - she'd had her fair share of boyfriends (and recently, an ex-fiance) but she was instantly drawn to the special aura around the god. Likewise, Apollo was drawn to the sparkle in her eyes, her fun demeanor, and her beauty. They fell in love, but as gods did, Apollo basically disappeared a few months after Saki's birth.
Although Mami had known from her experience with her mother that that was the way of the gods, she was understandably heartbroken, but she lifted her chin and carried on. She moved back to Hokkaido, not wanting to risk bringing (more) danger to her extended family. She loved Saki with her whole heart, and although it still sometimes hurt to think about, she raised Saki with the knowledge of her godly parent, as she had been raised. When Saki was about three, the location of Circe's island was revealed to Mami in a dream - she turned this over and over in her mind throughout the years, whenever they narrowly missed dangerous encounters with monsters. They became more frequent each year that passed by; after all, it wasn't just Mami anymore. The combined scent of a demigod and a legacy proved to be very alluring to monsters, and finally when Saki turned nine and a missed encounter was way too close for comfort, her mom gave her the choice to stay in Asahikawa, Hokkaido where she'd been raised or to go train in Circe's island - making it very clear that whatever choice Saki made, her mom would gladly follow.
Even at her young age, and even though Mami tried to hide it behind her bright attitude, Saki could see the toll that keeping them safe was taking on her mom. She didn't really feel all that attached to Washington, either, so the choice was easy to make. Circe (maybe having received word from both Hecate and Apollo) and her students greeted them with open arms, and they seemed to instantly fit in. Saki took to her new world like a duck to water, thirsty for the knowledge and practice of magic that Circe readily provided. Circe's island is where Saki discovered her unique powers and honed them.
Eventually, though, she grew somewhat bored of the monotony of the island, and she wanted to know what it was like to live at the camp she'd heard so much about from some of the other demigods on the island. So when she was sixteen, she asked her mom to let her go to Camp Half-Blood. After some lengthy lectures from both Mami and Circe, Saki was allowed to move to camp, where she quickly settled in and stayed for about three years, until New Rome became an option, and she recently decided to move there. She still frequently Iris-messages her mom and keeps in close contact.
+ Any notes about your characters: Ok tbh this started off as a self-insert but quickly got away from me haha. Also I haven't decided if she's like 18 and still at CHB or in her early twenties and at New Rome - please advise lol.
