Edwin's bunk

Nicole looked down thinking of Kalika's death. "I don't feel that I'll ever recover from Kalikas death..."she began, blinking back a few tears. "She sacrificed herself for us and I'll never get over it, I'l never forgive myself for allowing her to do so."

Edwin frowned, putting his arm around her. "It's not your fault you know. She chose to do it, she did it for the good of everyone else. Don't worry about it....is there anything I can do to help?"

Nicole shook her head. "No...it's just a fact I'll have to learn to accept and overcome...the oly thing that would help would be for her to come back, but that can't happen." A few tears rolled down her cheeks, hastily wiping them away Nicole smiled slightly. "Now about your hand...how is it feeling and um functioning?"

Edwin sighed, taking his arm away from her. "It's not feeling well, I guess it functions alright now but it's not a feeling I like...I want to take it off, I need to every day or else my arm would be in agony, but I just can't right now...not in front of you."

Nicole looked down "Why not in front of me..?"

Edwin sighed. "I don't want anyone to see that mangled stump...it's disgusting, it's not something I'm proud of. I just wish it was better, but it never will be..."

Nicole sighed. "I don't care what it looks like, I don't care if you're ashamed of it, you don't need to be, especially not around me."

Edwin frowned, shaking his head. He took it off, revealing a bloodstained mass with two bones sticking out. "Happy?"

Nicole looked up at him. "Thank you." she replied.

He groaned, lying down. "It's not even anything to want to see."

She shrugged. "It's not seeing it that I want, it's you feeling comfortable with me seeing it."

Edwin sighed. "I'm not comfortable with you seeing it though. It's horrible and it shows how weak I am."

"It doesn't show weakness at all, I don't get why you think it does." she replied and looked down at her hands. "I can leave if you want...until you put it back on...since you aren't comfortable with me seeing..."

Edwin shook his head. "No, don't leave. I don't feel comfortable but I don't want you gone."

Nicole nodded, laying down next to him and resting her head on his chest. "Is this okay?"

Edwin smiled, putting his hand away. "Why yes, it is."

Nicole smiled and nuzzled into him. "I figured this might be a little better for both of us."

Edwin nodded, looking down at her. "I wonder, we have a lot of catching up to do since your quest."

Nicole nodded in agreement. "We do...we were apart for quite some time."

Edwin frowned a bit, looking at the bone. "I just don't know where to start."

Nicole shrugged. "I don't knew where to start either, I don't really think there's a specific place to start...that would be too simple."

Edwin nodded, yawning. "Well there's always a starting problem where we create from. There's no specific place, but there's definitely an idea."

Nicole was silent for a moment. "So where do you think we should start?"

Edwin shrugged. "Well, there's many places to start, I figured you'd be the idea person."

Nicole shrugged. "I haven't been interested in ideas lately...I just want to sit back and not feel like I'm not a daughter of Athena for a while."
