The Deep, Dark Lake

I watched the people who were coming down. People I haven't met before.
I slowly got up from my seat, brushing the sand off of me and walking over.
"Hey." I took a precaution of standing a little farther back than usual.

There was an awkward silence.

I pushed myself mentally forward.
I reached out my arm, unfolding my clenched hand.
"I'm Cori. Daughter of Zeus."

"Cool." I smiled.

"So, hows the Camp? This is my first year...." I bambled off, being the person I am.

"Are there any skate parks or giant concrete places here?"

"Cool, um, I'll go find 'em. Bye." I slowly walked away.
