She swayed when she stood back upright and put a hand to her head. "I have never tried that on such a complex monster before," she muttered. "Jus gimme a second... I'll be okay."

"Daughter of Mania," Aria wheezed. "Yeah, that was me. I did that once to a few mortals... After dragging myself far enough away to be safe I passed out for a week." She sheathed her sword and tried to dust off her jeans. The yellowish monster dust wouldn't come off though and she eventually gave up.

Aria did her best to keep up. He was setting a fast pace. She could understand that though. She was still rattled and suddenly the forest didn't seem so friendly.

"Are you okay back there?" Tristan was eager to leave, but Aria was lagging behind, and her breathing was laboured. He stopped, and wondered if she was less okay than she had let on.

Benita waved a hand, but before she could commune anything to him there was a snarl from the bushes. She turned just as an enormous hellhound erupted from the undergrowth. She stumbled back, unsheathing her knife. With a growl, it pounced, knocking the wind out of her, but not her sense. The monster dissolved as the knife made contact right below its throat. Covered in monster dust, Benita got to her feet. That was... interesting, she wrote.

Benita grinned at him and raised an eyebrow, amusement glittering in her eyes. Surprised much? her eyes seemed to ask. Despite her brave face however, she was shaken by the encounter. With a little luck though, he wouldn't notice that.

I smiled I realized she was afraid but I didn't say anything then I heard a rustle in the bushes I hit my watches and my gontlets formed I flicked my wrist and the blades came out

Benita's eyes grew wide when the blades came out. She tightened her grip as an enormous griffin exploded from the underbrush straight at Tyler.

i grinned when the beast came at me i jumped and landed on its back blades fully retrackted it was a thing of beuty i couldnt kill it i look at her and saw fear "nothing to be afraid of" i said then it lunged at her my blades came out and i hit it in the neck and dust flew everywere "well i dont"

Benita was seriously rattled by that one. It had been so close. Another second and... but it was gone. Yellowish monster dust covered the ground, hung in the air around them. She wanted to tell him her thanks, but words were not for her to use. Instead she sheathed her knife and hugged him.

Onward, Benita thought and picked her way along a well-beaten track, eyes alert and ears pricked for the tiniest hint that there was a monster in the area.
