There were too many people! Anatkah yelled in frustration. She cut for the road, dodging traffic and sprinting up the lane between cars. She quickly managed to get in front of the fleeing girl and cut back in front of her, forcing her to either stop or change directions.

Anatkah screamed, off balance, as she toppled into the line of approaching vehicles. She saw red then black before she blacked out. A second car hit her and a third and her broken and bloodied body was tossed back onto the sidewalk when the fourth hit her. By some miracle. she was still alive.

"ANATKAH!" my scream erupted from the sidewalk. I ran as fast as I could towards Anatkah's broken form. "No no no," I whimpered. I dropped to my knees beside her. How was it that three of the cars had driven on and only one had stopped to check if she was OK? "Anatkah? Please please..." this was happening all over again. If I lost her... I... I don't know... What I would... "Anatkah... Please just be okay," I whimpered. I cradled her broken body in my arms. Some lady called an ambulance.

Anatkah didn't wake up through. The ambulance came and she was taken away from him to be loaded onto a stretcher, hooked up to an IV, a blood bag with some neutral blood, and other stuff. One of the paramedics took pity on Demetrius and gestured for him to get in.

I scurried in. Although I hesitated for a minute, thinking of stella. no, Anatkah needed me most. I stood and watched, feeling sick. Would she die? She was pretty much all I had... Stella had slipped through my fingers and I don't k ow if I could find her. What if Anatkah died? I shut my eyes and thought back to how I murdered Aria. Guilt overwhelmed me. Was this Zeus's way of punishing me? I-I deserved it... But not Anatkah. Not Anatkah. How could none of those drivers stop for her? How?! One of the paramedics, seeing I looked faint, offered me some chocolate, but I refused. I felt sick to my stomach.
