All I remembered was falling, and red, engines failing then, nothing. It was black and my head was throbbing. To my left I heard voices mumbling.
I forced my eyes to open. I was in some sort of quarantine and I was strapped to a table. Oh, they better not dissect me.
I tilted my head a tad and looked thought my eyelashes.
There were 3 people in lab coats, two men and a woman. They were talking in hushed voices.
"Where did he come from?"
"Did you see its ship!?"
"It's nothing like I've ever seen."
"But it looks human!"
"Penny, that thing is anything but human," The older man of the two began. "We need to move this, thing, over to Dr. Cameron's office. He'll take over from there. Dr. Felix and I are going to go get a stretcher; you unchain it."
Penny gasped. "But, what if he wakes up?"
"He's heavily sedated, Penny, he won't."
Human sedatives, really? That doesn't stop a Rish Mercenary.
The doctors left, leaving the nurse girl, Penny, to unchain me. I kept my eyes from fluttering until the restraints were removed. Jumping off the table I pushed past Penny and ran out of room.
"HEY!" She yelled. I could hear the clicking of her heels across the tile floor as she chased me. "Someone stop him!"
I turned a corner and found myself face-to-face with large humans holding stun-guns.
Instinctively, I reached for my gun. "Crap," I muttered. "They took my gun!?" I wasn't surprised but it still made me pissed.
Plan B.
I ran at them, knowing they were scared out of their minds. They flinched back and that was all I needed; I flipped over them and landed, running. I knew their surprise wouldn't stop them long so I ran into a random room and dragged a desk in front of the door. I looked down and lo-and-behold there, in a card board box, was all my gear. "Wow, these humans are idiots." I smiled and took out my guns, my short-ranged teleport, and all my clothes including my beloved purple converse.
Suddenly the men burst into the room, sending the desk flying. I smiled at them and said, "Bye." I hit the purple button on my teleport and disappeared.
