"I'm more of a sprinter," I told her, stepping onto the box. I stuck one of the light bulbs into my pocket, reached up, and unscrewed the current one. Switching it to my other hand, I screwed in a new one, and the lights flickered on. "Finally. Thanks for the box."

I stepped off the box and put the used light bulb in one of the empty boxes, shutting it and looking back at Charlie. "Yeah. You need to get that cut healed. Come on, to the infirmary."

I walk in and shudder. It's so dark in here. I shiver. And cold. I sit down in some chair and look at all of the trophies and such that other campers got. "This place is weird." I say to myself.

I walked down the stairs and into the basement, dragging my caduceus carelessly on the steps as I walked down. I glanced at the floor of the basement, seeing none of the light bulb shards from the time Charlie and I had broken a light bulb -- that was good and safe. I yawned and shook my head, trying to shake the feeling that somebody else was in here with me.

I look at the boy who just walked in. I get up and brush my T-shirt off. "Um, Hello there." I say, with a smile. I see out of the corner of my eye a Hydra head that read Hydra Head. 1980. A hydra head? Not only was this camp weird, but it had crazy campers too. "What's your name?" I ask.

I looked at the ground. "I just got here yesterday." I looked him in the eye. "Still checking out this camp." I brushed my hair and looked around, as if looking for something. "So is it true? Like all of these monsters and gods?" I ask. Chiron explained it all to me, but I still had doubts about it.

"Well, yeah.... Didn't you see Chiron? He's, like, half horse or something.... Unless you caught him on a wheelchair day." One thing I could remember was almost falling over when Chiron showed me his horse form -- yup, that had proved all of this stuff to me. "How do you like this place so far?"
