Life Before CHB: Lived with an alcoholic mom who eventually got married to another alcoholic when she was 5. She was attacked by monsters a lot and had to get rid of them on her own. Her "Parents" often left at night to go to parties and left Elektra home alone. At a young age, she learned how to manage on her own. She would leave home for a long time and no one would wonder where she was. When she was 7, her mother and father left home for a party, and when the police found them they were extremely drunk and were attempting to kill themselves with guns. They were put into an asylum and died one night after. Elektra went to live with her aunt, who was very kind to her (it was a big change).
RP Example:
I woke up to a strange noise...sirens. I was sitting on the couch with a bag of potato chips in one hand and the television remote in the other. On the television screen, an old black-and-white romance was playing. I turned it off and slipped off the couch. Just then, someone knocked on the door. I opened the door a tiny bit and saw that it was a cop. Quickly, I opened the door all the way.
"Hello?" Said the policeman, looking to see who had opened the door.
"Down here." I said, and he looked down.
"May I speak with an adult, please?" he asked.
"My parents are the only adults, and they're not here right now."
"You mean they left you alone?" he asked in disbelief.
"Sure, they do that all the time."
He explained to me what had happened with my parents, and told me that I would be living with one of my relatives from now on. The next morning, I woke up, and was loaded into an unfamiliar car by some strange looking pale woman who was said to be my aunt. We drove for a few hours and finally got to a small house. She showed me my room, and when I was settled in, I asked my aunt.
“So when’s mom coming to get me?”
She attempted what must have been a smile, but it turned into a frown. Then, she gave me a sad look and walked out the door.
Any notes about your characters:
- Tends to be very lazy, forgetful, clumsy, etc.
- Is used to living by herself, so seems quite wild around others.
