Taxi

"if only Hanson were here to yodel for a cab... Wait, if he were here, we wouldn't have this problem and we wouldn't need a cab!" I say, forcing a laugh. "Taxi!" I yell at one that was about to pass us.

The cab stopped, and a young man with brown hair rolled down the window and said, " Need a ride? " in an Irish accent.
"Come on guys." I say, getting in. "I don't think this guy is a monster." I whisper. "Chili, lead the way!" I command. He takes off, waiting for us. "Just Uh follow that parrot." I say.

The cabbie looked at me, confused. He shrugs. "Alright, but I never knew there were parrots in New York."

Ooc: assuming Nix got in with her backpacks

The cabbie introduced himself. "Hey, I am John by the way." he smiled into the mirror, and started to drive after the bird.

"Hazel." I say.

"Are you guys demigods? I know a demigod when I see them." he says.

I was surprised by what he said. "Y-yes, why?"

"I am one myself, too. Son of Chione. What are you guys doing here? Aren't you suppose to be in um.. Camp Half-Blood?"
"Well we came here for a vacation. But um, our friend Hanson is held hostage by a gorgon. So we are finding him, and my bird there is leading us to the button factory."

"Ah, okay." he nodded.

Nix climbed in, leaning her head against the window. She momentarily forgot that Hanson wasn't there. "I can yodel..except everyone will go deaf." She smiled, looking at her friends.

Nix took out the barrette Noonian had made her, playing around with it. "I used to love singing." She simply answered. She pretty much ignored the taxi driver.

"I had a very active imagination," Nix used air quotes on active. She was referring to the monsters. "And the counselor told me to join some after school activity, so I wouldn't be such a loner." Nix couldn't help but smile at her singing. "Most of the time I got into fights there."

Nix looked outside the window again.

The cab halted to a stop. "We're here," Nix opened the door. A monster dashed in front of her about to strike, as she was halfway outside. She still had the barrette in her hand, she quickly clicked a button, which became a spear. She plunged it into the monster's stomach, as it was about to claw at her face.

Nix glanced back at them. "I'll stay and..check if there's anymore monsters. I can handle myself." She grabbed her bag and Hanson's.

"Noonian, I couldn't live if you die. I just- Nevermind." I give the cabbie a few drachmas and say, "Thanks John." I get out with my bag, and Chili relieves himself on the cab's windshield. I laugh. "Bad bird."

John takes the drachmas, and ignored the bird poop. He sighed, "Get out." he said sternly.
Chili perches on my shoulder, bobbing his head.

Nix let her hair loose, switching the barrette to a sword. She checked if her shirt was tucked so she would have easy access towards her throwing knives which were stored in her belt. "I'll patrol. You'll go towards the gorgon. Meet me back here in about an hour and a half. If not so, I'll come in after you." She stored everyone's backpack in a alley.

OOC: Shall we make a new topic?

"Got it. Let's go Noonian." I say. "Chili, why don't you go scout out where the gorgon is, then report back." I suggest. "Aye aye captain!" he replied. Chili then flew away toward the button factory.

Nix bit her cheek, scared.

and wait, is noonian fighting or saving hanson?

Nix followed into the button factory.
OOC: I'm guessing saving Hanson.

BIC: I didn't trust taxis being alone, because of what happened to Hanson. He got kidnapped, injected with poison. We saved him, but then he went mad on and off. Then it spread to Nix. It lead all the way up to Noonian's death. I cried and cried until the ride was over. I gave the taxi lady a direction: Just follow the parrot. With my emotions, she didn't question. When Chili stopped, I got out, paid the driver. I stopped by a flower shop and picked out some nice flowers, perfect for the occasion. They were stained with dark colors, but no black. Then the bird led me the rest of the way, my cheeks stained. Maybe foreverm that's what I felt.
