Jim's Lean-To

I climb up a tree easily and spot a nice looking nest. There's strange feathers around it-- a beautiful array of colors like violet and blue and red. The eggs are huge and yellow. I reach out my hands to grab one when a shriek interrupted my train of thought. "Dammit." I mutter.

I notch an arrow as the beautiful birds launches at my face. Just as I shoot, I loose my footing. I scream as I fall through the trees. My foot gets caught on a vine and I am left dangling upside down by my right leg.

I heard a scream. "Demetri?!" I cried

Not hearing Jim call my name, I shout out his. This bird I shot tumbles through the trees as well and lands on my face. I yank it off. "Ew..." I try to use my mad ninja skills to untangle my foot, but I am left unsuccessful. "Jim!" I shout again.

I was beginning to panic I heard her scream and now silence... "DEMETRI!" I call running into the forest. I left Othello to protect Glika.

I try to swing myself to a branch and grab hold. "Yes!" I try to pull myself on. "Jim!"

I thought I heard her. "DEMETRI!" I called again.
OOC Ooh! She should break an ankle so Jim has to carry her everywhere :)

Bic: Just as I think I have it, my hands slip and I crash into a tree behind me. The wind gets knocked out of me. I hear Jim calling me. "Jim!" I scream, dizzy and winded.

I pull the only arrow left in my quiver(the rest are scattered on the ground) and stab at the vine. It snaps and I free fall to the ground feet first, screaming my head off. I hit the ground and hear a snap in my ankle. A moment of shock and I cry out in pain.

Tears brim in my eyes as the pain shoots up my leg. I hug Jim to me as tightly as possible and clench my teeth. I am so happy he found me. So, so happy.

"My ankle." I whisper brokenly. I press my face into his shoulder.

"That freakin' bird messed up my plans. Dang, nature." I grumble. I like to use my substitute cuss-words around Jim; they seem more ladylike than the actual words. Though I am think some very unladylike things right now.

"I know... I know," I say, gently stroking her hair bal. "Oh Demetri, I'm so sorry. This is all my fault,"

"How the H-E-double hockey sticks is this your fault?" I say, frowning slightly.

"Hey, I asked you to go and get eggs for breakfast," I smiled sadly

"No, I asked you what you wanted for breakfast. 'My treat.' My fault." I smile gently and kiss the side of his mouth. "Don't you make me use the Smile." I whisper.

I smileb. "Oi:.. What are we going to do with you?"

"We could play checkers." I joke, laughing.
