Analeigh's Bunk

Alex rolled her eyes, she knew she was being rude to Analeigh, but she couldn't really stand children of Aphrodite. She took a deep breath, then tried to be nice, "Um, sorry," Alex told the girl, "I just have bad history with your siblings," she muttered.

Analeigh nodded, "Im.sorry too", she tried not to smile and said, "I actually do like boys and parties". She grinned embarrasedly, "What happened though?", she asked curiously.

Alex shrugged, "Your brother made me fall in love with him, it was temporary, but it was still weird." She shuddered at the memory of that. "Can't remember his name though," Alex said.

Analeigh raised her eyebrows, "Well my siblings can be really annoying that way.", decing to tease Alex a little.she smiled slyly.in her direction, "Come to think of it I could probably make you fall in love with me ".

Alex' happy expression turned into a confused one. "That would be awkward," Alex said after some time. Falling in love with another Aphrodite kid was just going to confuse her even more. She was already having problems with her love life.

Analeigh laughed, "Hey I'm just kidding!", she said. Her expression turned slightly serious as she registered the expression on Alex's face. "What's wrong?", she asked.

Alex hadn't realized she was thinking about her stupid life and it showed on her face. "Oh, um, just boys." she muttered. "Nothing serious," she said, though her tone was a little shaky.

Analeigh raised her eyebrows, like seriously? "Honey you're talking to daughter of the love goddess. So skip the part where you deny it all and tell me whats going on", she said, slightly impatient.

"I'm not sure myself," Alex said glumly. "One moment I have a boyfriend, the next I don't know where he is. A month later a friend takes me out and kisses me goodbye," she said, really confused. She didn't even know where both of them are now.

"Hm?", Analeigh said, "so they left together?"

Alex laughed a little, "Er, no," she said. "They didn't even know each other."

Analeigh nodded, walking to her drawer and bringing out a bar that she broke in two and handed one to Alex. "It'll make you feel better.", she said

Alex wasn't in the mood for chocolate, but she took the piece to be polite. "Thanks, but I'm fine," Alex told Analeigh. "It's been over two months, I know I'm fine," Alex said, forcing a smile.

"Oh", Analeigh said, "You should eat the chocolate though. Theres a reason chocolate is associated with romance. When eaten it secretes the same hormone that is released in your brain when you fall in love.", She blushed slightly after saying this and looked away, "My ex boyfriend was a son of athena", she muttered embarrasedly.

Alex smiled, "Wow, must have been cool dating a brainiac," she said with a touch of sarcasm in her voice, "No offence or anything," she added.

Analeigh rolled her eyes and said sarcastically, "Well ofcourse I'm a child of Aphrodite so I must a creampuff who could only date a smart guy to be some sort of trohy right?", she asked bitingly.

Alex' eyes widened, "Someone's a little touchy." she murmured.

"Someone's very judgemental", Analeigh retorted, turning away as her eyes filled with tears.

Alex felt bad, "Hey, I was just kidding. No need to take it all to heart," she said, feeling really bad.

Analeigh nodded, wiping her eyes with a soft tissue she grabbed from her mini dresser. "Sorry", she said looking up.

"It's okay," Alex said. "Many people have emotional break-downs." Alex was a bit shocked, but she didn't show it, instead she tried to sound comforting.

Analeigh stood up suddenly, "So can I help you with anything?", she asked, her voice steady as she added, "daughter of Ares?"

Alex smiled, "No, nothing. I was just a bit bored," she told Analeigh. "Anything I can help you with?" she asked.

Analeigh raised her eyebrows, "Yes" she paused before adding, "Can I please fix your hair? It's been killing me."

Alex blushed a bit, she felt her hair with the tips of her fingers, "Er, sure, it just must not bother me when I'm fighting," she told Analeigh.
