I slowed to a stop when I came to a clearing. The growl had suddenly disappeared. I listened closely while I notched an arrow.

I skidded to a stop and took aim with my arrow. "Did you hear the growl again", I ask the girl, fully aware of my surrounding.

"Yeah, it stopped though," I noted. I surveyed the area carefully, to see if there were any signs of a monster. I could tell it was either swift or frightened since it left nothing we could use to track it.

"Shh, I still don't hear the growl," On that note, the monster begun to growl again. I turned in the direction of the boy and saw a red fleck quickly pass behind him. Quick, big, red. The only myth I ever remembered passed through my mind. "The Teumessian Fox." I whispered. I'm pretty sure no one heard me though.

"It's the monster who could never be caught," I responded. Though I might have been a bit vague. "I thought it was sent up to the starts for all eternity but its here I think." I stayed perfectly still to see if I could catch sight of the monster. "Its the Teumessian Fox." I declared a bit louder so the others could hear me.

I nod, quickly recognizing the myth. "Well, what are we supposed to do now. We can't just leave it here in camp boundaries."

"Though it's impossible to catch, its not impossible to kill," I said. I saw the red flash again. Every time I noticed a small rustling noise in the brush. "Keep one position then attack when you hear a rustling noise." I looked at the boy who only had a sword. " Um, you can be. . . bait. Keep near the edge of the clearing and we'll try not to hit you. Try to hit the fox when you thinks its coming around cause it seems to be circling us. Maybe it'll slow down." I got around so I could be back to back with the girl. "Is that okay?" I notched an arrow.

"Sorry, but we need to slow it down," I said apologetically. Yeah, right next to a big giant fox that most likely wants to kill us. Not where I would want to be either. "'Kay, whenever you see or hear rustling. Attack. Not when you see red, the fox will have passed by then."

I thought I had seen a red flash but I knew it was too late to attack. I waited again for the rustling noise. But then the unexpected happened. The fox jumped into the clearing and almost pinned me down. I rolled away at the last moment so and quickly got back onto my feet.

I was trembling so bad it looked like I was gonna have a seizure. When the girl got attacked, I over took my fear and leaped onto the fox's back.

I jumped into action and launched an arrow. It landed right next to the fox," Shoot", I grumbled. I took aim again.

I shot the arrow I had been holding. But my aim was still off so the arrow barely missed the fox's face. The fox charged again with lightning speed at the other girl this time. But at the same time it had stepped on the girls arrow in the ground. It whined a bit which gave me an idea. "Quick! Aim around the Fox's feet!"

I launched a volley of arrows at the ground. The fox seemed to have nowhere to go without stepping on arrows and injuring itself. It lost its grace and tripped. The fox fell onto its back onto more arrows. The fox winced in pain with a face of sadness and torture. I recognized that expression since I saw it every time I looked in the mirror. I hoped I wasn't crying since I loved foxes. "We need to finish it off. Make sure it stays in the stars. Permanently."

OOC hey... Noonian's still on the fox's back...
BIC The fox went to lay down and I slid off the back of the creature. However its massive girth came down faster than I had anticipated and took me down with it. I landed on an arrow, which wouldn't have done much damage, but the fox came down on me, so the arrow went deep into my side. I gurgled and Data whined loudly. I saw red. But probably not the red she had been talking about.

"Oh my gods!" I yelled as I rushed over to the injured boy. "Are you okay? We'll get you to the infirmary, as soon as this stupid fox returns to the stars or whatever!" With that I took a celestial bronze tipped arrow and, with much force, stabbed the fox. Unlike regular monsters, after it vaporized, it rose into the sky. Unfortunately I was right over it so fox dust got in my face. " You need help. Come on lets get you to the infirmary." I gently said to the boy. I offered him my hand.

"Oh, gods that's a lot of blood." I whimpered. "Sorry, not helping. Lemme get you up." I helped the boy up which was a bit hard when your trying to look at all the blood. Lets get you to the infirmary immediately." I called over to the girl, "Can you make sure no monsters attack us?" I put my arm around the boy to make sure he didn't fall over.

OOC: Going to the infirmary like it says.
