Cabin's Courtyard

She looked back into his eyes and sighed. "I guess."

"California...how about you?"

She nodded slowly. "Yeah a lot."

"We have a beach here..." She shrugged. "Wanna go?"

She smiled and took his hand. "Then what are we waiting for?!" She ran to the beach.

Ry was dragged to the beach, not really knowing what to expect now.

Josephine stumbled into the courtyard with her head hanging low. "Are you mad at me?" She spoke innocently like a puppy whimpering. She looked up at Blaine with her soft green eyes.

Blaine looked at her from the corner of his eye as he walked with a strange fluidity, as if obstacles like rocks or sticks didn't exist. His eyes were also green, although very bright because of the lanterns reflecting off of them. Blaine smiled cheerfully.

"Of course not. I have no reason to be." He said in response to her question.

Josephine perked up and smiled. "Good." She adjusted the strap on her shoulder making sure not to drop her priceless laptop.

Blaine turned towards her a bit more with his hip rested on the back of a bench. Foster McGerald climbed up his body and rested across his broad shoulders.

"Now, tell me." He said. "What cabin do you belong to?"

Josephine looked at him. "Hermes..."

Blaine looked directly across from them and saw the plain old cabin with a caduceus up front. Well, that was easy.

"Alright. I bid you goodnight."

She pursed her lips and pushed out her hip. "I'm not going in there..."

"Um...why?" Blaine asked with a raised eyebrow. Did she not like it in there? Did it smell like butt? Were the campers rude? Well, of course, I mean it was the Hermes cabin.

She looked at the ground. "Well I usually sleep in the forest... My siblings aren't very nice." She lifted up her shirt revealing a long jaggid scar across her stomach.

Blaine winced and turned his head away. He didn't like seeing pain or any markings of it. Ugh, he couldn't even look at a hangnail.

"How about you stay at my place then." He suggested. Yeah, he could maybe snag a sleeping bag or something. He never understood people and their need to sleep at night. night is when everything happens. On her way to the forest, Blaine didn't want Josephine getting snacked on by anything in there. So why not?

Josephine looked at him. "Well are you sure? I don't really sleep at night. I like to stay up and observe people." She shrugged. "I'm different from the others."

Blaine's face broke into a wide smile.

"That's something we have in common, then. I'm strictly nocturnal...I was only awake today because I made a promise to those rioters."

Josephine smiled. "Glad I'm not the only one. What do you usually do at night?"
