"Imbecile!" Jane yelled at her as she quickly tried to think of a way to save her life. Then again, she could let her die....she was of no use to Jane anyways. Maybe Jane herself could kill her from behind, then let the reptile devour her while Jane ran. A sacrificial move.... A pale grin creeped along the demigods face as she grabbed hold of a branch, hoping it would hold.

She was about to swoop down and kill the girl when a thought flashed through... She may not be useful now, but later she might be.. Jane shrugged and jumped, using the branch basically as a bungee cord, going down to grab Angelina and then pull her up with the recoil. She was just quick enough, another second and Angelina would be nothing but legs.

Angelina's stood there in the creek. It felt as if all her senses were not working anymore. The monster was about to attack and then suddenly her feet were no more on the ground. Angelina was stunned, her mind unable to think straight. After a moment Angelina realised what had happened. She was safe on the tree with Jane. How Jane had managed it? Andelina did not know. They were on the branch. She felt so relieved and thankful that she wanted to hug Jane. But this was not the right moment. And nor was Jane the cuddly kind of person as far as Angelina knew. So she just said "Thank you. I-I- don't kn-know h-how to-" she stammered . But then saw below them the monster, even he looked confused to Angelina "How to escape from this beast ? Got any idea Phantom?" she asked nervously.

Jane looked at her coldly as the disoriented monster below tried to locate it's possible prey. "Well, since you messed up the initial plan to escape...." She snarled. "I don't have a plan, although a sacrificial hand is looking nice just about now" She paused as she glanced up and down the forest. "Perhaps we could still go from tree to tree, but your too weak and my arm is broken."

Then Jane smiled, her evil smile. "One last idea...but it's gonna leave you with a few burns and might even kill us both" She giggled, not caring about the odds.

"One last idea?" Angelina wondered aloud, she really was not too much enthusiastic about it by looking at how Jane had described it. And burn marks? Was she going to set fire to the forest? Or...? What? Angelina could not think of what Jane's idea might be.

The monster growled beneath them, maybe finally realising what happened to its prey. Whatever Jane's plan might be, it was their only chance for escape. She asked "What is your plan?"

"We ride a burning tree down. I set this tree on fire, and when it falls it falls on the monster and throws us in the creek" she smirked, quite liking her idea. Then again, she liked most of the ideas she came up with because most ended in a death or two.

Angelina tried to see if how Jane's plan might work. According to what her aim was, didn't that mean she should light the tree from the bottom. And for that wouldn't anyone have to move down first? Where the monster was waiting for its meal.... And on top of all that how were they going to burn the tree without a matchbox or a lighter? She put up all her confusing thoughts into a meaningful sentence and said, "Err... Phantom? How will we burn the tree without going down? And do you have any matchstick or lighter for that?"

Jane smirked, and without a word she began to hack off the tree limbs and throw them below her, towards the base of the tree. "Now, shall we test my plan?" She smirked as she continued to toss debris into the pile that had formed before pulling out a box of matches, taking one and lighting the entire matchbox before tossing it into the pile.

It took a few moments, but soon enough a bonfire had formed and now it was only a matter of seconds.... CRACK! The tree began to fall and Jane laughed, flames leaping up the trunk as they crashed onto the beast, and into the water.

Before Angelina could say anymore, Jane had started executing her plan. And even before she knew, the tree started to fall... Angelina was scared to death. While Jane was laughing on their way down, Angelina wanted cry- AAAAH but even her voice felt as if it was gone. And suddenly they were in the creek with noise that was loud enough for the other beasts that might be present in this forest, but this was not the noise that would've make them ready for a meal. It was the noise that may have made them wonder if there was someother bigger and dangerous monster here. Angelina certainly was sure that she'd had this enough for the week, she was not goiing to enter the forest again for around a week now.

Now, that they were in the water, the tree was not burning anymore but there was enough smoke to make Angelina cough. She stood up and looked down at the, and maybe it was the absurdity or what? Even Angelina could not understand, but suddenly she was laughing, even though there was a new red hot burn mark near the wound on her leg.

Jane lay in the cold water, well....cold compared to the flaming tree they had just rode down on. She giggled a little bit as the large amounts of smoke gun in the air, though Jane was low enough to stay out of the way of the deadly carbon monoxide or whatever the gas was...she didn't know, she didn't give a...

Then she heard laughter.... She sat up and saw Angelina, still alive but now there was a nasty burn in her leg (and one on her shoulder). Jane smirked, just watching her...meal? Accomplice? Dare she say friend? Just laugh away at the injury, or the sheer shock had finally broken her sanity. Jane glanced over to where the monster had been and smirked, nothing was left except the skin, a scaly mess of hard reptilian skin...but it would make a great armor! She made a note to grab it and force someone to work on it.

Angelna stood there for a moment laughing when slowlythe smoke made her eyes water. She coughed and cried out "Let's get away Phantom !" She tried to look at her but her vision was blurred. She slowly made her away out of the creek on the ground. She cleared her eyes and looked around ... there lay on the ground her sword Adamas. But she stayed there as finally the actual pain of her wounds hit her.

Jane giggled and nodded, still trying to find her voice after the fall of the tree and the destruction of the crocodilian monster. She advanced towards Angelina, holding the shattered remains of her machetes and the skin of the reptile around her waist...as it had shrunk to a belt. "You ok there?" She asked after a moment of watching her simply stare at her sword in the cloudy water.

The smoke had cleared and now it was easy to see just how much damage they had caused, and more than likely killed a dryad. That fact didn't bother Jane right now, but then again, she didn't know just how much damage nature could do when enraged.

Angelina stood there for a moment, thinking about nothing and everything. And then she answered Jane, "Ye-Yeah I am fine." She finally went and to her sword Adamas in her hands. She looked around at the mess they have made. Not very nice. She looked at Jane, both of them had wounds that needed ambrosia or nectar to heal. She said in a low voice, "I think we should go to the infirmary." She kind of felt dizzy and just sat down on the ground and put head between her knees. "Or lets just wait for a moment?" she said in low voice her head still down.

Jane giggled and nodded. "We can wait, but there is no way I am going to the infirmary" She snarled, becoming very hostile again as she tucked her machete shards back into the sheaths. She made a note to get new ones later, and use the old ones for...special purposes.

After a few moments of resting Jane stood in the water and stretched. "I'll see yah later Angelina, and maybe then..." She smirked "you will be smarter" Then, with a chuckle she was off.

Angelina stood up and said in a low voice "Bye Phantom..." Angelina still did not know Phantom's real name, maybe she did not lose enough blood. She went into the water and stood in there for a moment. When she was finall well, she finally decided to leave. The last thing she wanted was another beast finding her She walked out of the wate,r and then went into the woods heading to the infirmary.

    OOC: Yes! Where? (PM me)
