Dagger Throwing

"Wow I wish I could do that!" I exclaim now eager to try the dagger.

"Maybe you can. Ever tried?" I ask. I sheath my dagger and walk over to the wall with the swords and pick one the right lengh for me. I spin it once or twice and throw it at a target hitting another bull's eye. "Hmm Lucky shot I guess. " I say retrieving it.

"No My mom wouldn't even let me go near a weapon," I say, "but I would love to try."

"Ok." I say walking back to the wall with the swords. I grab a dagger and walk back to her handing it to her. I pull mine out and hold it my hand. I show her how to grip it. I then show her how to throw it. "It will probably take a lot of practice. It did for me." I say retrieving it.

"OK," I say As I get ready to throw it. I throw it and it misses the target by about twenty feet.

"Nice try" I say gently I pick up the dagger and hand it back to her "Try it again"

"K," I say as I take the dagger out of kaylie's hand. I throw it again an this time it misses to target by about three feet.

"closer" I say "try agian but throw a little bit the oppisite direction." I say I spin the sword I still had in my hand and wait for her to throw again.

"OK," I answer and throw the dagger but this time I close my eyes because I am afraid it will miss. But this time it hit the target just barely. I still have my eyes closed. "How did I do," I ask worriedly.

"Great job!" I say excitedly as it lands on the target barely with a dull thud. I grab it out of the target and hand it to her. "Ever sword fought before?" I ask bored.

Aurora walked into the sword-fighting arena. She recently got a short sword from the spare weapons. It was horribly unbalanced, but she wanted to try a sword for once. What the hell am I even doing? She said to herself, missing the dummy by about 2 feet.

"Who Is that?" I question as I point in a girls direction.

"I... I don't know" My shyness taking over me. I look over at the girl who just came in she had a short sword and just tried to throw it. It missed by about 2 feet. I lift the sword up and look at its shiny surface. I then threw it at a random target. I look at were I threw it, and see its the same target the girl tried hitting. It hit a bull's eye and I felt a little embarresed for just throwing it suddenly. I don't even know why I did it.

"Well I will go ask I love making new friends so this will be easy," I say. I start to walk over to the girl. When I get there I say hi and ask her who the heck she is.

I silently follow her and retrieve the sword I threw. I walk back to them and start spinning the sword nervously

"Don't chop off anyone's head please Kaylie," I say while stepping back a little.

"sorry" I say quietly. I stop spinning the sword and stick into the ground. I then pull my dagger out and start spinning it in my hand again.

I see two girls approaching me. Uhm, hi. I'm Aurora, and I'm better with a bow. I say, jogging towards my failed sword throw. Ok, Aurora, say something nice, or witty Uhm... "Happiness is a journey, not a destination."Ben Sweetland said that. Oh my gods Aurora could your be any more lame?

She says something that sounds like a quote " Hi I'm Kaylie." I say getting my confidence back. "Nice to meet you." I say as politely as possible but it comes out a little awkward instead. "Are you better at sword fighting than sword throwing?" I ask it comes out a little rude, but I didn't mean it.Getting bored with spinning just my knife I sheathed and and pulled the sword out of the ground. I stepped back and started spinning it. I then threw it a target hitting a bull's eye.

Honestly, I don't know. I'm better with a bow. I just pulled this out of the spares and wanted to try a sword for once. Aurora said. She fidgeted with her hair and cracked her knuckles uncomfortably.

"How about try it. I'm better with a dagger, but a pretty good sword fighter" I say almost bragging. "I'll go easier." I pull the sword out of the target and spin it in my hand."but you don't have to if you don't want you don't have to." I say quickly.

No, I'm into it. Even if you go easy I'll still probably lose. Aurora smiled and picked up her sword. Let's do this.

"Alright" I say a little surprised. I spin it twice then hold it out. "Ready....Set.....Go!" I jump back holding the sword out ready for an attack.

Aurora hesitates. She isn't much a of a sword fighter, but knew never to attack first. She had learned that much at least from training. "So, when we gonna start?" Aurora smiled. "On three?"
