Appearance:

• Face: Aliana is no beauty queen. Aliana’s face is oval shaped framed with her thick auburn hair.Her eyes are quite big and are the ones which someone will notice at the first as the rest of her features are quite ordinary. Well, that’s the reason why her face is not beautiful, but not bad too.

• Body: Aliana has long legs but a short body with decent curves. She most of the time wear casual clothes like T-shirts, tanks, jeans and shorts with a thin jacket.

Weapon: Aliana uses a dagger with celestial bronze blade of length 7 inches, and two celestial bronze knifes of blades around five inches long.

Skills/Talents:
• Talents- Aliana has a talent of being able to persuade people. Now it doesn’t means some godly tricks with their minds. The persuading is like that a salesgirl would have, the one that makes you buy things that are of no need to you. She can plan things well too (like plan a party or plan an attack).
• Skills- Aliana’s good at throwing knifes. She cooks well too.

Flaws:

One of Aliana’s flaws is that she hardly ever thinks that she needs someone’s help. She is stubborn, and believes that she can manage things on her own. In reality she can’t really do many things on her own but still refuses help. And in combat that can be fatal.

Another flaw in her is that it is hard for her to trust people. The result is that she keeps to herself all the time. This also prevents her from making a good friendship with other people. Aliana is also short-tempered and takes offence in every little thing. Aliana is not good at admitting her mistakes. She thinks too much about what people might think of her.

Aliana's physical flaw is in her left foot. The doctor had said that the bones in that region are really weak and can’t be fixed without a risk of losing her left foot, which Aliana would never take. The flaw does not make her limp while she walks. The foot is strong enough to take her weight in a normal pace, but if taking a jog it pains really bad. Running or sprinting is impossible for her. Aliana is also dyslexic.

Strengths: Aliana’s strength is that she is very responsible and takes her responsibilities really seriously. Aliana is also good at guessing how people are. It is said “Never judge a book by its cover”, but Aliana is good at it.

Weaknesses: Aliana does not like herself. Though it is nothing like that, she thinks that she is full of flaws. And as they say “People can love you only when you yourself.” But she is the “I hate myself!” kind. She is not good at adjusting to new things, and cannot accept changes, especially the changes in the personalities of people.

Likes: Aliana usually likes people with a good sense of humour, since she lacks one. She enjoys eating Asian food. She also likes to play synthesizer.

Dislikes: Aliana dislikes athletic people as she is jealous of them. She hates sports too. Also, she dislikes horror movies and too loud music. She hates people who chatter too much.

Fears: Aliana’s greatest fear is that someday someone might break her trust and betray her. She fears the usual scary things like wildernesses, wild fire, and darkness.

Personality: You might have guessed her personality by now. Trust is the most important thing for her. She is the kind of person who if likes someone can trust with her life with them. And if she does not likes someone she will pretend that they do not exist in this world. She is quiet, and likes to mind her own business.

Powers: Aliana can grow grapevines from the ground near her feet till the length of 1m maximum and takes about 1 minute to do so. She can make them move according to her will for about 5 minutes after they grow and after 5 minutes they are just normal grapevines. She needs a break of about one hour or more after growing the grapevines, before she can grow them again. Aliana can do this 5 times a day. Aliana discovered her power of growing the grapevines when she was around twelve. When she had first found about it, it was quite involuntarily. Aliana had been thinking about wines and grapes, picturing a vineyard in her mind when they suddenly started growing on the ground near her feet. At first she was shocked and could not believe what her eyes were seeing. She tried to ignore it at first, but could not help herself to try it the next day. But after growing them a multiple times, she just added them to the list of weird things about her and kept it as a secret to herself. So basically to grow the grapevines she needs to think about them.

Social Status: Aliana is the kind of person who does not gets into groups and be, with only two or three good friends. She is not the kind of person who will make you smile all the time and is not really fun to be around with.

Summer or Year Rounder: Aliana decided to be a year rounder. She thinks that if she’ll be away then the problems caused by her will finally resolve.

Years at Camp: Aliana joined camp at the age of 14 and as for now she has been at camp for 1 year. Aliana will be at the camp for 4 years.

Life before Camp Half-Blood

Aliana has lived with her mom in New York all her life. Jane gave birth to Aliana when she was really young and hence has not been a real motherly figure to Aliana. So basically she is the reason why Aliana is a responsible girl, because at least someone in the house needs to be responsible.

Well Aliana’s real father is of course the wine dude, but there is one man whom she had always thought of as her father and that is Robert, Jane’s ex-boyfriend. The thing is that before Jane had given birth to Aliana, Robert and she had broken up from a serious relationship and Robert had left New York. Soon Robert realized his mistake and returned, but till then Aliana had come into the world. Since then things had been messed up, though they love each other they haven’t been able to get back into a relationship. But Robert has always been like family to Jane and Aliana, and has always helped them. He is even their neighbour now.

When Aliana came to know about how things were between Jane and Robert, she feels guilty about it and blames herself for the situation. And it just gave her another excuse to hate her real father. This is the reason she chose to be at camp year round.

Aliana came to know that she was a demigod when one of her friends who turned out to be a satyr told her about it on her fourteenth birthday. The satyr had guessed it when he came to know that Aliana was dyslexic but was sure about it when he had found her secretly growing the grapevines. It was hard for her to believe that she was a demigod, but at last she had to come to the camp.

Role-Play Example

Aliana stood near the pine tree. Her large eyes taking in the surroundings. She had sent the satyr away pleading for some time alone. Is this real? She thought and pinched herself. It was real of course. She had said goodbye to her old life and that was hard for her, not that she loved it too much. But could this be possible? Her real father was no one but the Greek god of wine? It was hard for her to believe that, but she knew it was the truth. She did not really ever have wanted to meet her real father, but the satyr had said that he was the director of this Camp. He was there, so near to her. But her father does not care about her. He does not think of her as his daughter. Or does he? No he does not- Aliana thought.

Monsters. She was here to learn how to fight monsters and not to have a reunion with her father. Involuntarily she thought of the day the satyr -who was a normal friend of hers at that time- had told her about her being a demigod.

They were at the park near their school when he had asked, “Aliana? Do you know who your real father is?” Anger had flared up inside Aliana on the mention of her real father.
She had just replied in a flat voice “No. I do not know who my real father is.”
“Well...” The satyr had started in a nervous voice. “Umm do you know that-”
“Look I do not want to talk about him” Aliana had said in a raised voice.

Before Aliana could think more about that day from a little far the satyr cried, “Aliana! We should take you to Chiron. Come on!” Aliana took a deep breath taking up her backpack from the ground. She went to the satyr walking slowly, and then followed him.

Notes: Aliana is a cousin of my two other characters Alexia and Alence Monroe. Their mother Elina is Jane’s elder sister. Elina had married William, when Jane was nineteen. After Aliana’s birth Jane had decided not to stay in touch with her sister, as she did not want to tell about Aliana to Elina. And therefore the kids do not know that they are related.
