Valerie shot him a look that seemed to scream duh. A monster appeared to try and block their exit but she swiftly drew the string back on her bow slid along the ground using the momentum from her running to keep her moving forward and shot him in the chest. He turned to ash. Well... That was one less anyway.
Val regained her footing, her chest heaving as her lungs tried to meet the demand for oxygen that her body required.

Now Valerie always hated leaving behind friends or allies, alive or dead particularly when they were in danger. She never liked abandoning others, she preferred to stay with them rather than desert them. She fired another arrow, a perfect head shot destroying one of the hooded guys. "No I never leave anyone behind, alive or dead." She informed him bluntly, without even looking at him as she notched another arrow. There was no way she could carry him or drag him, their only option was to stand and fight.

"What? You have to shout that to get your fire to work?" Valerie questioned backing up a few paces to keep some distance between herself and their foes.

She loosed off a few more arrows, picking her targets carefully so that she wouldn't accidentally hit Leo or far worse miss the enemy completely. "I see." Came the reply as if she wasn't too sure that it made him look awesome or not.

Valerie shot him a look which seemed to say out of arrows. She moved backwards slightly. "Okay now let us get out of here." She told Leo hoping that he would decide to move as well, because she would never leave a friend behind, or a Demigod. Her loyalty was commendable if not always a good thing as sometimes it was more tactically sound to retreat than stand and fight.

"Erm... Do you really think that it wise? Who knows what the normals have seen?" Valerie never called the ordinary people mortals, they always were normals to her. She thought it might be wise for them to get out of the store because she did not want to end up in trouble or spending the night in a police cell until someone bailed them out.

"Yeah might just try this internet thing people talk about and buy online not sure how it works mind you." She replied as she looked for a way where they might be able to slip away unnoticed. To her the internet happened to be a relatively new and rather confusing thing.

Val laughed. "Maybe you shouldn't be so fiery and it wouldn't be an issue?" She pointed at the fire escape. "Time to use that?"

"Trust no one." She replied opening the door and stepping outside into the chilly air.

Valerie shivered, the winter weather was even colder when you were soaked from sprinklers. It did not help that she happened to be on the shorter side of tiny. "Can you set something on fire? Like me please? Because I'm freezing!" She declared wrapping her arms around herself in an attempt to try and keep herself warm.

"Camp?" Valerie suggested, the weather was usually always good at camp and it meant she could get out of these soggy clothes. Staying in them was a sure fire way to get a chill.

"Okay what's your plan then?" Valerie said her teeth chattering, as she was quite tiny she would lose body heat far faster than most of the other Demigods.

She raised an eyebrow at him quizzically. "You Demigods now days are one weird bunch." Val could get away with saying stuff like mostly because everything was different from the time she had been meant to be in. Of course, a stay in the Lotus Hotel kinda derailed life as she knew it. Now essentially for her it was like being at Camp Half-blood again for the first time, only without the support of her Satyr friend or the knowledge that she might one day be able to go home to see her mother.
