George was just asleep in his cabin, as most of the campers would be this hour, after a supposedly really special day, the one of the Olympus visit, even though he didn't know what to make of it. There was also that prom thingy, but, uh, George couldn't really care less for it. He didn't even bother to attend, in all his 'awesomeness'. Why would he? He hsd no date nor knew any superheroes. Or how to dance. Or how to behave in crowded places. Or... you catch my drift.

At some point of the night, George woke up. He used to do that a lot, he usually got really disrupted sleeps. Anyway, he glanced over at his nighttable and over to see if it was day yet. Nope, middle of the night. He tried to close his eyes again- Wait a minute, what's that square thing at the nightable , he thought. He reluctantly got off his bed and read: "From: Athena To: George Wilson"Of course it took him a bit of time to do so, not thar much due to his irritating dyslexia, but mostly because he was 100% sure he had read Athena wrong. He opened it and he saw that cube thingy that smart kids used to play with before they were given access to computers. It also had an instruction manual with it. He knew how it worked but he decided toread through it anyway. After all, practice made perfect, right?

"MORTAL INVENTIONS ENHANCED: Rubik's cube vol. 2"

"despite our older version that was more long-term and designed to accompany you through millenia, volume 2 is designed for more... short-term satisfaction. Being unpredictable and thrilling, since it has a randomised time limit under which you can solve the cube. The time limit depends on -what else?- the cube's mood. What happens if you don't solve it in time? The cube gives you a bite. Irritating for immortal, rather painful for Mortals and Demigods. Have fun!"

That's so amazing, George thought immediately, and proceeded to solve the cube immediately. Like, how hard would it be? After about a minutehe had solved most of the cube and he was feeling good about himself, when he heard a buzz. Then he couldn't move the particles anymore and somehow something bit his finger. It hurt, but he didn't let it show cause he'd wake up everyone and that wouldn't be cool. Then the cube resetted into a random state. Thinking that it was the raddest thing ever, he let the cube in his night table, determined to solve it next thing tommorow morning, ignoring the last note on the manual, the one that said it could turn into a tablet.
