Maybe The First Date

Deciding not to bring my bag along since I didn't have many things to carry, I hid my dagger in a pocket I had shewn on to my dress, specially designed for it. As Jack returned from the bathroom, I grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the room, closing the door behind me. "Let's go, hurry!"

Jack chuckled, and followed Layla outside of the door. He locked it behind him and hurried to the elevator. They travelled down tye elevator and to the front door, where Jack laid the bag down. He put his finger to his mouth and whistled. The nearest cab skidded to a halt and parked right in front of him. The duo entered the car and the vehicle shot forward toward the direction of Coconut Island.

The car finally stopped, and he led Layla out of the car. They finally stopped before the entrance. "Here we are. El finito." he murmured, slipping into the bit of Spanish he knew.

"Oh. Wow"I exclaimed, taking in the sight. "This place is exquisite! It's so simple, but at the same time so... breathtaking! This whole place in general is beautiful. How come this is? There is a variety of buildings, much like what I saw of the city back at camp, but this still feels more... pure. Less polluted. Is it just me?"

Jack shrugged. "Probably." he said, picking up the bag and entered through the gates. Eventually, he sat down by one of the picnic tables and set his sword to a side, and began unpacking.

I followed him confused and in silence, mimicking his movement and sitting down opposite him. At first I fiddled with the edges of my sleeves, but I couldn't stand the silence. "Is everything okay? Did I do something wrong?"

"No, no! Nothing's wrong, actually." he said, taking out the picnic basket with a bunch of food he prepped. Sandwiches, peanut butter and--a bunch of other stuff. "Silence doesn't always mean that someone is irritated."

"It used to"I muttered under my breath and shook my head to clear my mind of pictures of past horrors. "So, Jack, tell me more about you, please. I've known you for quite a while but I feel like you're still a mystery to me"

OOC: Apologies, I was stuck on this since I didn't know what to say. XD

BIC: "Well, some said that I'm rude, immature and mean, but what do they know. I don't get along well with people--since my dad is Deimos. I guess that's it: I don't know what to say." Jack said. "You?"

"Your heritage shouldn't get in the way of friendship, Jack. You're a really wonderful guy, they're missing out."I replied to his comment about what peiple thought of him. "As for myself, you're the first and only friend I've made. Although my mom is Hestia and I have supposedly a warm and nurturing nature, I'n afraid of people and have made a reoutation about it. At first people kept trying to talk to me but now they're used to it and don't approach me anymore"

"Not me though. I never gave up, didn't I? Eventually that's how we started dating." Jack shrugged. "And a little bonus: I lose my temper when someone calls me a synonym to "chicken"." he said, trying to be more positive. "Remember how we first met?"

OOC: Do you want to do the thread about how they met in here?

"Vaguely, grown-up-egg"I laughed at my own silly joke. "You know I have a thing with my memory, the Lotus Hotel can ruin you. 300 years of brain function don't help much either. Care to remind me?"

OOC: Sure thing, whatever you prefer

The fourteen year old paced around Camp, gripping his spear as he held it behind his back. He wore a Camp Half-Blood t-shirt, dark jeans, a jacket and Nike sneakers. Eventually, he got bored and walked to the pavilion, where he sat down by the campfire, which was out since last night. He couldn't wait until tonight when they would be doing a singing for everyone. Maybe if he got assigned to this appalling task, he would play Johnny B. Goode with a guitar.

My first month at camp was almost over. I was seriously considering leaving again - and I would do it, if not for the fact that I had nowhere to go. I didn't know this world and, at least they had promised to protect me.

With that thought in my mind, I tugged nervously at my sleeves as I pulled my knees closer to my chest. Right now, my cabin was full of people and I hated being in there. Everyone tried to talk to me when all I really wanted was to be alone. I was scared and they were frightening me, like the monsters in my nightmares. I knew they had good intentions, but I couldn't help remembing the old times.

So I had learned to escape. I had a pass from activites, since my last panic attack and since then I've been roaming the camp and finding hiding places. So far the best at this time was the amphitheater, were they did all these camp fires. I never joined them but I knew when they started. I had learned the camp's scheadule to know when was the right time to switch hidding places. Right now, everyone was getting ready and I could finally be at peace at this strange place.

The amphitheatre was empty five seconds ago when Jack entered. The next time he looked up, a girl was already sitting by the empty fire pit. She looked his age. He figured she was one of the demigod in the Hestia cabin, because she looked like one of those introverted kids. Always shy and gentle, completely opposite to his rude nature. Though, he needed someone to talk to.

"Hey." he greeted

At the sound of a male voice greeting me, I shuddered and looked up in terror, tears filling my eyes instantly as scenes of past terror arose to the front of my mind. There sat a guy a bit younger than me from what I could see, looking over at me from the other side of the campfire. He didn't seem to have made any move as to come closer, he had just spoken from his spot. Maybe he waited to see my reaction before he came near? Maybe he had heard the rumors about me and wanted to mock me, like many others? Or maybe he was just friendly. But since I couldn't know what it was out of these three options, I preferred to play it safe and stay silent. Hopefully, he would just think I was someone weird or antisocial or something along those lines and leave me alone

Jack instantaneously acknowledged that she was 1) Antisocial 2) Antisocial. He was suddenly tempted to get a conversation with this girl. Antisocialists were interesting people for him. "Hey." he called out again. "You okay?"

He spoke again, although he still hadn't moved. He seemed not interested in approaching me, which puzzled me greatly. What was his plan and why would he talk to me if his intentions weren't to mock or frighten me? "Hey" I muttered shyly, my voice barely audible. "Y-yeah, I-I'm okay"I stammered, my nerves wrecking havoc in my speech function

Jack stood up and sat down next to the girl. "You don't sound like you are." he said. "I'm Jack." he introduced. "Are you sure you okay?"

As soon as he sat down next to me, my eyes widened and I hurried to scoot over so that I could put some distance between us. "Yes, I-I'm sure. Now go a-away!"

OOC: I'm seriously blank on what Jack would say without creating repercussions on future events. Can we just go back to the future?

THIRTY YEARS LATER

"Memories." Jack murmured. "You remember when you shut me out on our first meeting? Well it hurted me at first. But still, it gave me the feeling of the necessity of helping you." He said. "And well--look at us now." Jack said awkwardly, shrugging.

"Well, I didn't want your company then! But I like you enough not to run away now"I exclaimed and giggled, reaching up to ruffle his hair. "You're funny enough anyways, I'm glad we are friends"

The brunet glanced up and smiled. "I'm glad too. I had little company at Camp except my sister. Half-sister exactly." Jack grabbed Layla's hand that was ruffling through his hair. "Thanks for bearing with me."

"Aww, it's nothing. Thanks for helping me figure this whole world out. I mean, it is really incredible and I would have never learned about it if not for you"I explained as I looked around at the beautiful scenery."I mean, look at all this! I never would have known such a place existed, much less have the guts to visit it"
