I limp out toward the park. I needed to sit down but I couldn't find a bench. I walk into the park and sit down. I start to feel tears leak out of my eyes. I couldn't believe that I had actually thought Alex cared at all. She hadn't been there for me ever except for the fight with the minotaur and even then it was that other kid who defeated it. I had a broken leg and an injured arm. I pick up my knife and contemplate whether it would feel good to drive it into my chest. I drop the knife as I feel pain seeping into my mind. I pick up the knife and walk out of the park and back towards camp.
