Re: The Lonely Basement
"Hermes, god of messengers, thieves, all that fun running stuff. He's basically the mailman of the gods." I grinned proudly, puffing out my chest at Arabella. "What about you?"

Re: The Lonely Basement
"Thor, god of thunder." I say, a little doubtfully. I still wasn't exactly excited about having a god as a dad. "So, do gods usually leave you alone as a little kid?" I say, a little angrily.

Re: The Lonely Basement
"Well, yeah.... It's sort of against the rules for them to, you know, stick around and raise you. The gods think it'll make them pick favorites and, like, grant them too many powers or something." I shrugged; sometimes, I felt pretty mad that Hermes hadn't helped me all too much during my childhood -- especially since I had no mom.

Re: The Lonely Basement
I nodded. "Yeah, I guess that makes sense. But, no money or anything? I mean, they're gods!" I ask, getting a little more angry. A spark formed on my fingertips, then disappeared.

"Well, they don't use the same type of money we do. They use these big golden coins called drachmas -- they look like pebbles to the mortals or something." I backed up and sat down on the steps, laying my caduceus across my knees.

Re: The Lonely Basement
"Hm, drachmas." I thought back to when I talked to Chiron. "Oh, I've seen them before." I said. I put my hands in my pocket. "So, what's your favorite place here?"

Re: The Lonely Basement
"Place? Well, I sort of just drift around and prank people... but I guess my favorite place would be my cabin. It's cozy and it's the first real home I've ever had." I tapped my caduceus, wondering if I should go shine it or something.

"Oh." I replied. "I haven't seen the whole entire camp yet, so I don't really have a favorite." I study him. "So, do you have any powers beside pranking people?" I ask him, a little sarcastically.

"No, not really.... I want some, though, like super speed and all." I scratched my cheek and looked around us at the dark basement -- we should probably turn on the lights, huh? I glanced at the light bulb to see if it was still there, but in the darkness I couldn't see very well anyway.

Re: The Lonely Basement
I follow his gaze and saw the lightbulbs. "Oh good, light." I say. I walk over and switch them on. The light fills up the room. "That's better." I say, a little relieved.

Re: The Lonely Basement
I blinked, black spots forming in my vision as my eyes tried to adjust to the light; my cabin had been really dark, because somebody had shut the doors and put down the curtains over the windows. "Well, yeah, guess so.... Have you visited your cabin yet?"

I nodded. "Yeah. Not many other campers in there." I say uneasily.

"Well, yeah. The Norse kids aren't really common, mainly because they're not the main group of gods around now, but hey -- being unique is pretty cool." I shrugged at her and stood up, leaning on my caduceus.

"Yeah, It is." I say, smiling. "So, do you like your brothers and sisters? Or do you have to sleep with one eye open?"

Re: The Lonely Basement
"Oh, they're usually okay -- but sometimes, I've woken up and tried to put on my shoe, and then there's a big tarantula crawling up my leg." I let out an involuntary shudder and shut my eyes, remembering all too well the weird sensation.

I shudder too, as if feeling the tarantula crawling up my leg. "Yeah, that's good, I guess." I say. I look around the room one moe time. "I'm gonna go practice my fighting. Are you any good?"

Re: The Lonely Basement
"Oh, yeah, totally -- I can hold the dagger and everything without stabbing myself. It's great." I tapped the end of my caduceus on the ground, wondering if Charlie would want to train with me again soon. I had to be more careful when we were practicing; I kept hurting her too much.

"Oh, yeah, sure, I guess. If you ever need somebody to direct you somewhere, I'll be in the Hermes cabin. Or something, if I'm not pranking anybody."

I smile. "I'll do that." I turn around and walk up the stairs.

Re: The Lonely Basement
I yawned and walked up the stairs, dragging my caduceus behind me as I decided to head back to my cabin. Man, I'd probably break it sooner or later -- but I hoped it wouldn't be soon.

Re: The Lonely Basement
Lolita walked down the old wooden staircase with hesitant steps and sat with crossed legs on the on the dusty floor. She wanted to stay in the most hidden place possible, so she could avoid prying eyes. Her silky blond hair was nearly shaved away, and she decided not to go out in public until it grew up again.
Shaving her hair was necessary for the success of the treatment that brought her back to life after a child of Thor electrocuted her to near death. The only way to rewire a brain after a shock was with another shock. The "treatment" made Lolita cross-eyed, she didn't care much about it, but was it really necessary to shave her gorgeous hair? That was one of the only things that she liked about herself, and it was gone. She put her huge headphones on and turned up the music to the max, trying to shove the thoughts out of her mind.

Re: The Lonely Basement
"Walking down into the basement was maybe not my best desiscion" I thought to myself as I was shaking dust and cobwebs out of my hair. I got halfway down the steps and was about to go back up but curiousity got the best of me. I walk down and stop when I see a girl sitting there on the floor. I walk to her and bend down a little. I lightly tap her shoulder

Re: The Lonely Basement
Lolita felt a gentle pressure on her left shoulder. She shuddered and widened her eyes at the person who was trying to catch her attention. The girl seemed strangely shiny in that near darkness. The first thought that popped on Lola's mind was that she could be a ghost. But Lola was too tough to believe in those stuff. Only for a test, she grabbed the girl's wrist and twisted it until it clicked. Her hand was quite solid. Hopefully she wouldn't return the agression.
OOC: She can dodge it if you want. I think I told you, Lolita hurts people that she doesn't know, she's almost a psychopath.

Re: The Lonely Basement
I wriggled my hand from her grasp right as she was turning it. I back up a bit looking shocked "Nice to meet you to."I say sarcastically. Although I wasnt trying to be mean, my tone was harsh.
