Re: The Lonely Basement
"Nice to meet you too." Lolita replied, sounding numb. She let the girl go and began to rub her own wrist. She rarely noticed when she actually hurt someone. Sometimes it was intentional, sometimes not. She was just aggressive by nature. "I didn't notice you were here. " Lola added, raising her febrile blue eyes towards the unknown girl. "Moreover, what are you doing in this creepy place?" Lola didn't have a reason to be there as well, not an actual reason. She knew that question was pointless, but definately didn't care.

Re: The Lonely Basement
I walked into the Big House and shuffled down the stairs. The basement was... so depressing. Normally, I would've left, but, Hell, I was bored. So I went around the basement checking the doors until i found one that was locked. This peaked my interest so I picked it. I pushed open the door and OH MY GOD THERE WAS SO MANY BOXES JUST FILLED WITH RANDOM CRAP DOWN IN THIS BASEMENT- sorry, lost my cool there for a second.

Re: The Lonely Basement
Demetri wandered into the Big House, hoping to hide from the day that meant people talking and shouting and...ugh. She couldn't just take it yet. After a friendly nod to Chiron, her feet led her down the stairs and into a basement. "Wow, I didn't even know that this existed." She mumbled quietly, tracing her fingers over an assortment of old books. Demetri sighed and sat down in the crook between a dresser and a a shelf, gingerly turning the pages through an old copy of Pride and Prejudice.

Re: The Lonely Basement
I rooted through the boxes, and found a huge assortment of entirely random crap! It reminded me of the prop / costume room where we stored the unused costumes / props is the basement room underneath the theater. Down here, there were masks, crowns, chairs, tables, even boxes of fake snow! "What is all this stuff?" I laughed excitedly, my British accent in full.

Re: The Lonely Basement
Demetri's ears perked up. Was it just her or...or did she just hear Jim? She stood automatically---cursing when she hit her head on an open drawer---and called for him quietly. "J-Jim?" It was pathetic. Why would Jim be down here out of all places to be at in camp? Then again, why was she here?

Re: The Lonely Basement
And then - suddenly - the was a crash. Or a bang. A boom? No... Not a boom. But it certainly was impressively loud. And then, following the big, loud, noise, came my equally loud voice: "Dammit Othello! No! No! Bad wolf- dog- thi- Bad Othello!"

Re: The Lonely Basement
"Jim!" Demetri smiled broadly when she heard that familiar accent and a crash and threw her book down and hopped over boxes and dusty objects to get to a door that was kind of obviously open. Her face lit up when she saw Jim and Othello there, like, right there in the room. She couldn't believe it---she hadn't seen him in months. "Jim...are you okay?" She asked, frowning at wherever the noise came from.

Re: The Lonely Basement
I shook my head and frowned disapprovingly at Othello, who was chewing on a shoe or something. And then, I heard... "Demetri?" I asked, lifting my eyes. My eyes sparkled when I saw her familiar face. "D-Demetri!" I cried, stumbling over boxes to reach her.

Re: The Lonely Basement
Demetri ran towards him with her arms open, ready to embrace him. She hugged him to her, laughing and tearing up at the same time. "Where have you been?!" Demetri demanded, smiling some.

Re: The Lonely Basement
Demetri's smile melted some, a pang of jealousy hitting her square in the chest. She didn't come from anywhere special, like he had. The feeling dissipated quickly when she thought about how much she missed him...Gods, she missed him so much. Demetri reached up on her toes and kissed his cheek. "'Course I don't. Everything's fine, it's alright. I was just...worried." She pulled away to look at him, still holding onto his arms. "Was it fun?"

"No.." I said quietly. "Not without you it wasn't. I only went because.. I felt lost. I didn't know who I was and I wanted to go back to my roots. I wanted to try and figure out who I was. But I missed you too much, really, to even think,"

Re: The Lonely Basement
Demetri smiled sadly, tearing up again. That was...just about the sweetest thing that she had ever heard. She looked at the ground shyly as her cheeks grew a pretty shade of pink. "That's so sweet." Demetri laughed some, biting her lip. She didn't want to tell him about the, ah...."incident" when she caught a certain stalker peeking from a bush by her cabin.

I could hear the sudden sorrow, the bitter sweetness in her voice. Did she... Perhaps... Have a boyfriend? I mean, I could understand if she did... I just up and left, after all. "Did you... Did you wait for me?" I asked quietly.

Re: The Lonely Basement
Demetri nodded honestly. "Of course I did." She looked at him oddly, trying to detect something in his body language. He had figured out that she was hiding something. "I mean, ew. There are no other guys at camp that I'd even be remotely interested in, if that's what you're implying." Demetri bit back a laugh; that was such a ridiculous worry. Though she was afraid that what she did might be equal to that.

I but the inside of my cheek, and held back a sigh of relief, although, there was a huge change in bod language. I became more relaxed, although some tension was still there. "What's wrong? You seem sort of... Upset?"

Re: The Lonely Basement
She decided to be truthful: she had no other choice since her father's occupation. "Do you remember that Randel kid that I beat senseless? My sister and I did it again." She said quickly, then held her breath with her eyes closed, waiting for what she was sure would be a loud or unsettling or...something else reaction.

"Calm down." She laughed gently and sat down on a box, petting Othello. "He was wandering around outside of the cabin. I found him hidden in a bush with a knife. I freaked out...." She looked down in shame.

Re: The Lonely Basement
"He explained why he was there." Demetri added. "He was looking for his lost girlfriend....the knife was for the harpies. I wish we had listened to him before....you know." She put her face in her hands and shook her head. "I was being stupid. I didn't interrogate him enough before. If it weren't for Dimitra, he would have been dead." Reckless.... The word echoed around her skull, a term she'd been called so many times.

Re: The Lonely Basement
"Don't be sorry. It was his fault for sneaking around in the bushes," I did my best to console her.
OOC me? Is it me? Because I would marry anyone with that face.
Hm.. I thought it was randy but I can't remember?

Re: The Lonely Basement
He was right, of course. However Demetri couldn't blame anyone but herself for this one. "I just...I just reacted on impulse. I need to learn how to fix that." She looked up at him, pouting slightly. "Thank you, though."
Ooc: Yes, you!
Unless you want it to be him? Otherwise, I don't think they had a history

I, in turn, acted like I was pouting "just, don't do that anymore, okay?" I asked, as a smile spread across my face
