"Aw yeah!" Shrike cheered as he rushed over to examine his new ring. It was a golden band encrusted with seven gemstones, an emerald, a ruby, a sapphire, an amethyst, an aquamarine, a beryl and a diamond. The word "Godspeed" was inscribed on the back.
"Wonder what this does..." Shrike pondered, turning over the ring in his hand.

"Indeed it shall," Shrike smiled as he turned to walk from the door. As soon as he moved his leg forward, a sudden burst of energy flowed through him, his body glowing a subtle golden glow, and he shot towards the door at breakneck speeds, colliding with it heavily, almost busting the door from its hinges. Shrike slumped to the ground in a daze, his head spinning.
"JESUS!" he groaned.
