"Okay..." I said and flicked my wrist twice and Mercy slowed to a stop. "Oh I did it." I said happily. "This is great!" I smile and flick my wrists again and let her walk for awhile then have her stop.

I smiled, "very good! So next, its very easy, to turn, you simply tug on the reins in the direction you want to go. The harder the tug, the sharper the turn. " I told her, demonstrating by pulling on Cookie's reins lightly to the right. Cookie made a wide arc to the right.

I smiled and made mercy go and tugged on the reins lightly to the left and giggled as she went left. "That's incredible" I said now riding circles.

I watched her go around in circles and smiled, "Now that you've got the basics of riding... Do you want to fly?" I asked her eagerly.

I looked at him startled. "What if I fall or...something goes wrong?" I asked worried but not wanting to tell him my fear of heights. I ficked the reins twice to have mercy stop next to him.

"We don't have to go that high, maybe just like a few feet. Or we could go over the lake so that if you do fall, the worst that will happen is just getting wet.... Or we could skip flying if you don't want to." I offered, not really caring which one we did.

"Okay, flying!" I exclaimed excitedly. "So what you do, you flick your wrist once, like what you do when you want to start moving, and then you immediately tug the reins backwards. The harder the tug the faster the take-off. To rise higher, pull the reins down, and to fly lower, pull the reins up. Again the harder the tug, the faster the motion." I explained, trying to think of what else to add. "Steering is still the same, just tug the reins left or right... Um... Oh. To land, just flick your wrist twice. And I think that's all." I said, trying to remember if I missed anything important.

"Is turning the same?" I asked scared to try it...what if I pulled up to hard what if...I fell... I twisted the reins in my hands nervously trying to remember everything that he was telling me.

"N-No it's okay..." I said quickly. "I want to try." I said and flicked my wrist once and then tugged lightly on the reins so I was slowly taking off. "L-Like this?" I asked.

I looked at him horrified but then laughed. "Oh my gods don't do that" I laugh. "I can barely handle flying as it is" I said and looked down slowly.

I sat up straight and inhaled deeply, the wind blew my blonde hair back and I felt so free. I looked down and noticed we were just making a wide circle around the stables. I looked over at Emily, "So what now?" I asked smiling.

I shrugged and smiled. "Maybe it isn't so bad...we could go see the rest of camp?" I suggest trying to keep my hands on the reins and my hair out of my face as much as possible from the wind. I looked down again. "Everythings so small..." I said.
