I walk in with Phoebe and Polux. Polux snorts in disgust at his pin. "Hey. Watch your language." I tell him sternly. He sniffs. "Watch it."

"He's over here," I tell Demetri. I lead her to the farthest pen from the others, which is also considerably larger. "Hey, Oro," I say as I approach. He steps out from the shadows, lion's hindquarters following his eagle's beak, wings, and talons.

I laugh. "Yeah, that's the usual reaction. "I found him when my guardian satyr and I were making our way here. He just showed up out of nowhere, but I realized later on that he'd been following us across the country. The satyr that helped me said that they're beyond rare -- almost extinct -- and that it's even more rare for them to appear before people," I tell her while patting Oro affectionately on the beak. "He told me that he just took a liking to me, although why, I don't know. Did you know they're sacred to our dad? In the old days, they'd sometimes pull the sun chariot." I notice Shawn out of the corner of my eye and turn to him, waving back and smiling.

"Orion. Awesome name," I say. Oro eyes the two pegasi with curious interest. "Yes," I tell him softly. "These are friends, not enemies, unlike those anemoi thuellai we fought that one time..."
