Suddenly, I felt myself getting... Wet. In shock, I looked up, down, all around. I was in a dark, deep lake, and even worse... At night! Without the breath I needed, my face probably turned purple as I swam to the surface as fast as possible. Floating at the stop, I looked around in fear, eyes wide. I thought I saw something move in the water, and looked away- and saw something else. "Ahhh!" I shouted as I tried to do a float on my back. But fear wouldn't allow me to take the breath I needed, and I started sinking. I struggled to go back up, but I couldn't: I just kept sinking. All around me, I saw shadows, and had to close my eyes because of the salt. "Mmph!" I struggled and struggled, but just kept... On... Sinking...

I watched Nick struggle and struggle. Overcome fear? Nah this kid needed help and badly. Then he started to sink slowly submerging into the water. Should I stop or keep going? Stop! Remembering the last time I used my power I decided it was better to stop. I shut off the hallucination and found myself looking at Nick, I decide its best not to let him know I knew what his fear was. "You alright?"

Even though that was just a hallucination, I took a big breath and kept struggling, my eyes closed. I didn't really notice that it had ended, and kept flopping around on the ground like I was having a... Really weird spaz attack.

I got up, still breathing hard. "Well... I was in a really deep lake at night, and the shadows made me think I saw crazy stuff in the water, and- It was just, really scary."

I nodded "Lake or darkness?" I asked him. Darkness was a really common fear but nobody liked to admit it and most get past it through their early years but lakes and waters? That stuff can take forever to cure.

"Lake. The darkness just made it look like the lake was even deeper, though if it was broad daylight, i'd still probably die of fear. The funny thing is, I can swim perfectly..."
