I can't. Not after he's helped me. I let the arrow fly past his ear and hits a pot full of sand. "No." I say as I walk out with Arrow.

"Fine, then I will do it myself!" Nikolai yells at her. He runs out and goes behind the armory, and shoves his sword into his gut. He drops onto the ground. He instantly regrets it. But it was too late. He breathes his last.....

I walk in with my bag of supplies. I find an empty space on a workbench and lay out my tools and materials. Among them I pull out a folded piece of paper, I unfold it. On it, is a diagram of a metallic pair of wings that fold up into a backpack. I glance over it, already familiar with the design. (since I made it) I begin working, I make the main support rods, and hollow them out. Then I work on joints and secondary supports. Next I make the minor tertiary supports, then all the joints and gear work. I make the thin tin plates that slide over eachother like plate armor. These go on the wings to give them lift, kind of like the skin on a bat's wing. I assemble all the parts, connecting every support to a joint, the plates, then finally, I fit in the gears. I pull out a regular school backpack and attach some gizmos to it, then I attach the wings to it. I press a little button I put on the backpack's adjustment straps. The whole things folds in on it self, plates moving over eachother, the supports folding (due to the joints), then finally it fits inside the backpack. I pick up the backpack. It's extremely heavy. I place a magic enchantment to make it light when wearing it. This also made the flying better. I grin at my work. "Boy I love metal." I say to myself. I pick up the backpack and put it on. I gather my tools and head outside to test it.

I walked in to the armory, glancing around at all the weapons. All Imperial gold and all polished and shiny. Heck, I could see my reflection in every weapon here. I paused in front of a shield, seeing a lock of my hair sticking up. I smoothed it down and waited for Brandon to arrive.

"So uh... how much longer do we have to go," I pant, struggling to keep up. I look around and stare in awe at all the shiny and sharp weapons. " Where are we?" I asked.

"The armory," I replied simply, shrugging. I glanced at e weapons, en turned to Brandon, gesturing at them. "Do you have a weapon?" I asked him. "If not, take one now. You'll need it."

"I kind of had a dagger, but it broke while I was battling a monster. My grandpa gave it to me but... Ooh! Cool! Look at this! Can I choose this?" I say happily, my eyes wide and I point to a very sharp looking axe.

I sighed, shrugging. "Sure, sure. Whatever makes you happy, kid." I hoped he could pick it up at the very least, though. If not, that would be... Pretty pathetic. Hm. I'd left my sword at the barracks; perhaps I could test this kid. "Preferably, Romans use swords, though."

"Does that mean that I have to use a sword like everyone else?" I whine," I don't want to, and you can't make me!" I stubbornly continue. I heave the axe with all my might but it didn't budge, I grunted and tried to lift it again.

I shook my head, folding my arms across my chest. "Dude, just give up. The thing's too big for you anyway, and swords are easier to use. Maybe when you're older, 'kay?" I felt like a babysitter or something for this guy. Seriously.

"I don't want a sword," I whine impatiently. "If I can't have a big sharp axe then can I have a machete or a spear? Which weapon is good? Other then the sword," I added.

"Spear," I replied impatiently. It was getting hotter in here by the minute, despite my t-shirt and jeans; I fanned my face with my hand, frowning at the rack of weapons.

I looked at Dorian, and I sensed what he was thinking right away, I continued to ask questions, to see how much longer I could annoy him until he gets mad at me. I ask," which spear is good? The long one or the short one or the thick wooden one or the thin wooden one?"

"The long one, with the thick stick. Or shaft. Or whatever. As long as it doesn't look like it'll break easily. If you don't hurry up, I'll pick your weapon for you, and I'll make sure it's the flimsiest spear in this entire camp," I warned him, beginning to tap my foot impatiently.

Since I didn't care if he chose my weapon or not I continued trying to annoy him until Dorian would hit me. I got a look in my eyes and blurted out to him," but isn't the long spear with a thick stick heavy/ Will i be able to lift it? What if it breaks when I touch it? Who's my God parent?"
