I dodged and sent a slash at his torso again, aiming for his side/arm. The kid was good, but he still had quite a bit to learn about Roman fighting. Like not doing anything fancy in battle, because that was just cheesy and over dramatic.

I shifted my leg, but the jab grazed my leg and left a shallow cut on my leg. I slashed at his sword wrist again, ready to end this thing. I wouldn't let a new person beat me in a spar, though I definitely was a bit out of practice.

I blocked and sent a quick slash at his sword wrist again, aiming to cut him there and drop his sword. Sort of my only strategy for the last twenty or so minutes we'd been fighting, but yeah. It almost worked last time.

I backed up, though the slash managed to cut my arm, and I lunged at his sword wrist, intent on cutting/stabbing him there now. Like I thought before, this had gone on for a bit too long.

Zack had at least one god strike left in him before he collapsed, so her was hit but still held onto his sword and stabbed at her torso then collapsed to his knees.

I parried the attack, thought it managed to nick my shirt and leave a little hole there. I stood there, panting slightly as I watched him fall to his knees, and I held my sword like I was going to strike his head off at any moment. "Well, good job there."

I raised an eyebrow, but took the ambrosia and ate it, feeling my cuts heal up. Now all I needed to do was repair my clothes, along with make a sheath for the sword with my name on it. Unless I was forgetting a lot of the stuff on my mental to-do list, which was pretty common nowadays. "Thanks."

"Putting people to sleep," I told him. It was sort of an obvious thing -- Somnus, god of sleep. Yeah. I had the standard Somnus stuff. "I don't do it often unless I need to get away or the person is really annoying, but even then it's rare."

"That'll be like seeing Jupiter himself," I muttered to myself, looking around. No more humming fauns, thank the gods. "Most of the kids at camp, myself included, have never seen a god at all, except at the Pomerian Line with that border god. I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you. The Roman gods don't meddle with their kids as much as the Greeks' probably do."
