by Guest 4/29/2012, 3:51 pm"Bad choice" I say with a small grin. I ready my sword and search her up and down for an open shot. I find a small unguarded area near her stomach. Wielding my sword, I quickly step forward and try to jab her in the stomach.

I dodge the attack by turning around, but the sword still grazes my back. "Not bad." I say with a grin. I aim for his armpit area, hoping boys use deodorant. I do not want stinky boy sweat on my sword..

I easily parry her attack with a short, elegant motion. I was trained in the arts of swordsmanship since I only five. I had fives years of training, but that was probably not enough. The point of her sword ripped through my shirt, but didn't come in contact with my skin. I try to jab her again in the same area.

"Well it is the only open area I can see for now." I explain. I spot a small spot on her back that would be easy for me to reach. I focus my attention just in time to see her sword come slashing at me. I quickly step to the side, but not fast enough. The sword slashed a nice cut open in my thigh. I stagger a little, but soon regain my strength. I roll over onto the ground under her legs and pop back up with her back to me. I hold my sword at her back, not really wanting to hurt her. "Gotcha. In a real fight you would be down for the count right now." I tell her.

"In a real fight, the ground would be to hard to roll on. But good job!" I shake his hand, and look at his cut. My eyes go wide. "Oh sweetie! Are you okay? I didn't mean to hurt you. Well I did, but you know what I mean." It isn't like me to be all sweetie this and sweetie that, but this kid is so cute and small and touch acting.

I pull up my shirt to look at my wound more in depth. "Yeah, I think I will be fine." I tell her. "And another thing, never call me sweetie or anything like that again. Just call me Niko instead, that is what all my friends call me." I put my sword back in its sheathe. "You are pretty good, but in a real battle you can roll on the ground. I've done it before."

"Okay, Nico." I turn away. "Wait you've been in a battle before?"

I let out a small chuckle. "Yeah. I've been in multiple fights. Many with evil demigods though. That helped me learn a lot about sword fighting." I look around for something to focus my eyes on so I wouldn't appear creepy starting at her. "Have you been in any battles?"

"Yes. I have. And it wasn't fun." This kid is like what, 9? And he has been in battles?

"Did you ever get hurt in them?" I ask her as I pull up my shirt to reveal a huge straight scar going down my chest.

"Well yeah. But not fatally." I stare at his scar. Who could let their kid get hurt like that?

"They don't know. Screw them. I try to keep them out of my life. When there is a battle going on, they try to keep me from fighting. How is that supposed to help me become better? Don't to anything and I will get better? No, I like the rush of battle." I realized I was starting to rant, so I stop talking.

I stifle a sob. "The day after my first birthday." I often remember that day. "I cried, and cried. And told Daddy not to leave. But he left" He disappeared, like he was never there, and I was broken hearted.
