by Gerran lay there in peace, his eyes open wide and staring above at the ceiling. He hurt all over. He had been beaten up pretty bad. He had been cleaned up of all the blood and he looked fairly normal again... Minus the bandages and buises, he was pretty much the same with reddish brown hair and different colour eyes. Has Kate ever noticed... that one of them is muted silver? he thought to himself.

I walked in and quickly spotted Gerran. I walked over to him. "How are you feeling?" I ask softly. I figured there'd be a huge talk or something, but I could always walk away.

Gerran looked over to her as she walked in. That thing she does with walking is pretty... I'm thinking about her moving her legs. Oh gods... I swear, they gave me brain damage or something.

I took his hand in mine. "Am I okay? That's what you're worried about? You just got beaten bloody and you're worried about me?" I shook my head in disbelief. I couldnt believe him! Here he was, in pain and everything, and asking me if I was okay?

"Yeah. Is it so wrong that I'm worried about you? Kate, I want you to be safe and OK. Not beaten and battered and bruised... Like I am right now," Gerran said. He sighed he looked at his other arm. Squeezing her hand, he closed his eyes. "I can't move it. My arm, I mean. It's weird. it's like... some fingers are dead... Kate?"
