Niall sat at one of the benches in the courtyard, strumming his guitar. He was singing Wonderwall, his voice quiet and calm. He wondered what had become of Jayme--this song reminded him of her. The lyrics trailed off into an incoherent hum; he was lost in thought, staring at nothingness as he played.

Niall's mind drifted off, and without realising it, he had started strumming too hard on his guitar strings. Before he knew it, with a sharp, loud twang, one came loose and went flying--straight at a girl. It smacked her in the face. Niall dropped his guitar, stifling a laugh. It was slightly funny, if he thought about it, and besides, he was a son of Loki. What more could you expect?
"I'm really sorry," Niall apologised quickly, albeit it was halfhearted, rushing over to the girl.

"You sure?" He asked distractedly as he searched through the grass to find his guitar string. "Don't need a bandaid, or anything?" His Irish accent had an obvious smirk in it. He was sorry for hurting the girl, but he still found it at least slightly amusing. It was a rhetorical question, which he followed with, "I'm Niall, son of Loki. You?"

Niall's eyes widened as he stepped back. Well, if he'd had any doubts about her being a child of Thanatos, it vanished once the creepy skeleton came out of the earth. "Okay, that's cool," He said, his voice tense. There was a skeleton right in front of him, and if anyone thought Niall would take his eyes off it, they had another thing coming.
