"I like that name," I said as I sat down at a table and put my head down. Nyro laid next to me.
Aren't you going to eat something? she asked mentally.
I'm not hungry... I responded, also telepathically. Normally, I would simply use words to talk to my lioness instead of telepathy, but I thought people might think it weird that this boy was randomly talking to a lioness.
Nyro growled a little. Demetrius, you have to eat something! The doctor said you had to eat at least three meals everyday!
Why? Look, I'll just eat four meals tomorrow!
Demetrius, the doctor said you were forty five pounds underweight!
"It was not forty five!" I said out loud. "He said I was only thirty pounds underweight..." I grumbled. "And besides I've been eating all three meals everyday since then," I cried.
And since that appointment you've lost fifteen pounds! She cried, making an audible roar. And lately you've been having trouble breathing, which is why, tomorrow you're going back to the hospital to get tests done!
I looke down at my shirt which hung loosely against my chest. Yes, she was right, and if I were to take off my shirt, every single rib could be clearly seen. I looked up and glared at Nyro. "I am not going back to the hospital!" I cried. I looked up and saw people staring. I groaned.
