I noticed as people came and went to and from the beach. I wondered if that boy would arrive, but I wouldn't blame him if he didn't. I found a washed up log, fairly dry, and sat on it as I reflected back on what had happened.

I turned my head ever so slightly and I see a familiar face. That boy that I just left in the infirmary days ago. I wanted to apologize, but I'm not sure if he wanted to speak to me. But, I stood up anyway. I attempted to seem casual but I tripped over my own laces walking over to the boy. "I'm sorry" I whispered, but being ten feet away, I'm sure he didn't hear me.

"Why are you laughing!?" I questioned. I moved five feet closer. "Did you even hear what I said?" If the boy didn't, I'd be a bit embarrassed.
