Seven to live; Time to die.

Characters-(a few are still pending) thanks to lost shadow, Lila Noel, halfbloodsrule20, Zachattac, Jasmino123, and Kablam. for this excellent cast of characters!

Luna:
She doesn't fit in. Anywhere. She talks, but not enough to be considered a gossip girl. Dark, but not dark enough to be a goth. Athletic, but not enough to be a real tomboy. But that just makes her a Jack-of-all-Trades. Age eleven. Protagonist.

Kyle:
Rather depressed, he doesn't often talk to people. But sometimes he does.(Lost Shadow didn't give me much to go on.)

Liberty:
Bright and bubbly, Liberty easily fits in the gossip-girl divisi. She has an ill temper, though. But other than that, very happy. Almost eleven.

Syd:
Short for Sydney, she is Luna's twin, separated at birth. She is active and well, frankly, afraid of glitter. She's always very happy and loves to hang out with Luna in science. Needless to say, Eleven.

Alya :
Nice but smart-alecky, Alya is a good friend to Luna and everyone except Savannah. Her brother is Dante, and shes age 13.

Ivy:
Very outgoing and athletic, Ivy loves music and jokes. Just not corny ones. She hates those. She is a good friend with Syd, but has made an enemy of Alya. Age 17.

Dante:
Shy to strangers but never hiding from love, Dante is like his sister. But different. He dislikes Liberty and Savannah, but he has a huge crush on Luna. Age 11.

Zane:
A brother to Luna, Zane 'Rebel' Ross is rather rebellious. He holds bitter grudges and is dating Marcy. Age 16.

Marcy:
Sweet and smart, (a good combination if you ask me) Marcy loves to have fun. She's not really a good friend with Luna but they're not enimies or anything. Age 15.

Savannah:
Girl that fits into the gossipy section, but rather an enemy of Luna's. She seems cool, but not really.

Friend/ Part one-Late, again

Slush, slush, slush. I look down as I walk, my boots clunking through the dirty streets. It didn't smell too good, like a combination of debris, chemicals, and blood. I kick a lump of snow into a puddle and the acidic water swallowed it up. I sigh. Time couldn't be wasted like this. I hear the familiar humming and run for it. Why did I always have to be late for the bus? I pant as I step in.

I walk past the kindergarten kids, whom were screaming "PAINT IT PURPLE!" flailing their tiny arms as if they were holding paint-brushes. WHY did Liberty HAVE to teach them that? I pass Kyle, who was staring out the window at the dense, gray cloud layer. Stratus covered the sun every day. He wanted to be left alone, so I continue on. I could find my seat blindfolded, mostly because Alya and Dante were screaming "Luna! Luna! Over here, Luna!". I laugh and run up to them, demonstrating why we go to school. Most people survived on instinct these days, we really went to school to 'interact' with other kids, and get away from the dawning reality. Wars. Riots. High death tolls.

Alya had a weird dream. We talked about a party coming up. Dante found this thing called a D-V-D player in a forest. It felt so... right, talking. I mean, it wasn't forced. Soon enough the bus ride is over, and we scramble out onto the already-crowded sidewalk. I bump into Liberty, who started trying to talk to me but I honestly couldn't hear her. I make my way to a different side walk. First class, science.

Me too. I found 5th grade to be a lot stricter (Like, rule-wise) than 6th grade.
