Re: The Lakefront
I rubbed the back of my neck nervously. I didn't exactly know what to do. Anything I said had a large chance of making the moment a lot more awkward but not saying anything would only succeed in doing the same thing. There was just no positive in this, was there?

Re: The Lakefront
Finally I roll my eyes and get to my feet. "what about a duel?" I say, only because I am bored. "Just for fun." Although with me it never is.

"A duel? Erm...Sure...I guess..." I said, using his arm as leverage in order to stand up. I knew I wasn't very good, and ultimately, he would win. I mean, come on, he's a son of Victoria after all!

OOC: You got a new carrie!
A wicked smiles appears across my face. My eyes gleam with pride. I probably look insane at the moment, but why not!

Re: The Lakefront
((Mhm! And I didn't even need to edit! Although...I accidentally put she had a mortal dad instead of mother....XD Also, watch FX. RIGHT. NOW. Superhero movie marathon! Incredible Hulk right now. You missed Spider Man 2 and 3 as well as Fantastic Four.))
I have to admit, I was terrified at the moment, but I didn't let it show....that much at least. "J-just...Try not to gut me. I'd prefer to stay alive." I stutter, immediately cursing afterwards because I stuttered

Oh gods...This wasn't going to end well. I swallow and gave a sheepish smile before I drew my sword as well.

OOC: Says you.
My smile grew larger as a take a step toward him, taking my blade toward his ankles.

Re: The Lakefront
((....))
Somehow, I managed to trip on his blade, getting a nasty cut on my ankle and also falling on my face, earning another cut on my chin from a rock. I rolled over and blindly jabbed upward.
((I feel like if we were fighting with swords, this would be what happened. You'd actually be good, I'd fail miserably.))

Re: The Lakefront
He had almost caught my hand with is sword, if you count 4 feet away as almost. I had him pinned on the ground, waiting for him to attack.

Re: The Lakefront
I scowled up at the other and huffed. A wildly and repeatedly jabbed at his feet and legs, though I knew in less than five minutes, he had already guaranteed his own win.

I reach my hand down to Lance, pulling him upright. "You should really learn how to fight."

Re: The Lakefront
I stuck my tongue out at Collin as I took his hand and scrambled to his feet. "Well, mate, I really could care less." I mutter in my heavy Australian accent, looking away, clear I was rather embarrassed.
((Only now remembering he's Australian...))

I nodded. "Yup. Almost everyone has something to say about the accent." I said with a sheepish grin, rubbing the back of my neck.

"I suppose so, don't really talk to many others. I annoy 'em, they smack me or somethin'...Then we go our separte ways." I said with a small laugh, remembering all the many times I had gotten slapped.

"Seems like a good idea..." I say, half to myself. I was seriously thinking about slapping this kid and running away yelling 'I do what I want!'

"I mean, my face still hurts most of the time!" I continued, still laughing some with a half grin. I wasn't even considering the fact he was probably going to slap me.

Re: The Lakefront
I giggle slightly and lightly hit his arm. "Well, well, well! That wouldn't be very nice." I joked, placing my hand on my hip with a smirk.

Re: The Lakefront
I shrank back some, crossing my arms. I avoided his gaze, now ebarrassed. "So?" I mumbled.
