Marisol looked over at Carter as he held out his hand for her to shake. She hesitated, before finally giving in and shaking his hand. "Alright, Truce." she said with a bit of relief. She wasn't looking for any enemies and she was glad that this didn't end like she was fearing it would. "Well, this is a relief, I'll admit."

Marisol laughed. "Oh joy. I am so relieved." She told him sarcastically, relaxing a little bit. "I could be an enemy..but I probably wouldn't be a good one. The only bad thing I would do is just give them the silent treatment.."

Marisol looked down at the ground and thought for a moment. "Well you pretty much explained it pretty well in that little argument we had.." She teased with a small smirk. "I actually had just a normal life. My mom died while I was at camp, so when I went back to New Mexico for a few months to visit family, my step-dad was kinda how you described. Big money-making guy who doesn't come home often.." She laughed lightly. "There was nothing really bad in my life besides my mother's death..my step dad not being home..and my oldest step-brother being a complete douche." Marisol looked up at Carter. "How about you mr. Genius? What was your life like?"

Marisol tilted her head slightly to the right. "Well..that's not the happiest story I heard, but on the brightside..this lovely hell-hole must be better than your home life." She told him honestly. Carter's life sounded way more..complicated than hers. She actually felt a little sympathy for him.

Marisol smiled genuinely at him. "New starts are good. That's kinda what it was like for me here..I wasn't like this when I first came. Trust me." She laughed at her own past. It was a rough start but it became smoother as she met the most important people in her life.

Clark walked in behind Mila. "Wow! There's so many!" He said as he plucked a strawberry off the plant and ate it.

Mila nodded and grabbed a bright red strawberry. She bit into it and the sweet juice filled her mouth. "They are so delicious."

He picked another one. "They would have to be if the camp sells them and uses the money to pay for everything." Clark said before plopping it into his mouth.

These strawberries were addicting, Clark decided as he ate one more then made a mental vow for that to be his last. "About as good as these strawberries."
