Central Park

Blaine wondered wait the heck she was talking about but decided not to question it. "Are you sure this is safe? We could try somewhere safer...?" It would help if he actually knew what he was hiding from, but whatevs. Not everyday some chick whisks you off to a nice looking tree in the middle of Central Park.

She bit her lip. "Well this guy is out to kill me..." She stopped when she heard a rustle in a bush near them. Out stepped the boy with a black hoodie on.

"Oh..." Blaine turned towards the hoodied male and released a tight sigh. "Oh, geez."

Josephine shrieked. "I don't have it okay!"
The hooded man pulled out a knife. "I know."
"We have to go!" She turne to blaine

Blaine shook his head vigorously and yanking on the bangle that was on his bicep, instantly turning it into a spear. "No! We can't...We can't just let this guy win!" He explained in a defensive stance.

The hodded man hissed. "Just give me the girl..."
Josephine hid behind the tree.

Blaine pursed his lips as if debating. "Hm. Well, I don't think that will work out, you see? I mean, the girl gave me Red Vines." Blaine shrugged and tapped the butt of his spear on the grassy earth.

The man walked past Blaine. "Well she owes me money or her life..." He walked to Josephine grasping his knife.

Blaine held out his arm, blocking the man from Josephine, a sense of protection in his eyes. "Well, I guess you're not getting either." He said sternly through clenched teeth. Good thing that it was nearing night, otherwise he'd be exhausted.

Josephine cringed. "I'll pay you later. I promise."

The man growled. "Let me pass."

"'Thou shalt not pass'." Blaine ordered in his best Dumbledore impression before hitting the man in the back of the neck with his elbow. Hopefully he would be knocked unconscious.

The man fell to the floor but, got back up kicking at Blaine's chest. "She doesn't even deserve to live."

"Neither does a man who kills." Blaine said before he was kicked in the chest. He stumbled back, but held his ground since he was a bit bigger than this man. Before the foot could return to the ground, Blaine grabbed it and tucked it under his left arm, his right elbow coming down on top of the man's knee.

The man growled and felt something crack. "Sh*t!" He quickly got out of the hold and ran at Josephine with his arm raised.

"Behind me!" Blaine shouted before ramming his body into him.

Josephine closed her eyes and ran behind Blaine.
The man slammed into a tree and groaned. "Son of a b*tch!"

"Now you run." Blaine said quietly as he picked himself up. He closed his eyes and sucked in a breath, releasing a long high-pitched whistle. A cat with six toes emerged from seemingly no where and lunged for the man's face in a hissing riot.

The man screamed and glared at Josephine. "Watch your back you wh*re. I will find you!" With that he ran away.

Josephine looked at the man terrified then back at Blaine. "I'm so sorry..." She ran to him.

"Foster. Come." The cat curled around Blaine's legs and mewed adoringly. "When I said run, Josie," Blaine said patiently, turning towards the daughter of Hermes. "I meant run. I was going to make sure he couldn't follow you."

She shook her head. "I couldn't leave you..."

Blaine snorted at the cliche and picked up his cat. "Alrighty then. Let's get you both back to camp. Strangers come out at night."

Josephine rolled her eyes. "Fine..." She grabbed her leather bag and slung it over her shoulder. " I owe you."

"Of course you do." Blaine stated as he began to walk towards the camp, constellations in the sky suddenly giving them a clearly drawn map.

Josephine gave a weak smile and sighed. "I never really do learn from my mistakes. "She kicked a pebble with her bright white vans as they walked across the grass.

"That's why you keep making them. You don't learn until you fail a few more times." Blaine pointed out.
