I sat down at the base of a tree, sighing. It was a rough day for him. I started looking around for signs of life, and pulled out a bit of raw meat. I started eating it slowly.

Charlie hummed as he walked, adjusting his sunglasses some more. He soon stopped humming as he noticed someone sitting at a tree. "Hey there! Watcha doing?" He called cheerfully, being the slap-happy person he was, as he walked over to the guy.

I heard someone say something, and I mentally cursed. I shoved the last of the raw meat in my mouth and wiped it with my sleeve. "Nothing." I said with my cold, calculating eyes and my expressionless face.

Charlie raised any eyebrow, running his fingers through his strawberry-blond hair, which looked ginger in the sunlight. "Fine then." He said, grinning broadly as he held up his hands defensively. "Who peed in your cheerios?" He proceeded to ask.

I glared at him and drew my scimitar and my scythe. "My best friend just died, so if I were you, I wouldn't mess with the son of death. Otherwise known as me." I growled. There was some blood running from my mouth from the raw meat.

Charlie stepped back, his hidden eyes wide. He ran his fingers through his hair again, his breathing a bit shaky because, quite frankly, he was afraid of the other demi-god. "Um...I'm sorry...I...I didn't know...Um..." Charlie stuttered, looking and turning away, not even noticing the blood.

I blinked a few times and wiped my eyes. Raw meat tended to increase his anger issues a lot. "Sorry about that dude. It's just that... I only found out a few days ago... and the last thing that I said to him was that he was the worst friend ever, and now he's gone." I said with a single tear.

Charlie nodded and sat down next to him. "So, you have every reason to be angry...I know." He started quietly, looking at the other. "Well...I'm sure he knows that you didn't really mean it, that it was a spur of the moment remark...I'm sure he does." Charlie said, continuing to be soft in his tone. It was weird, the only two people he had found in the forest both needed consoling for a dead person. He nodded again, placing a hand on the mourning demi-god's shoulder.

It was only then that he noticed the blood. "Um...You've got a little...blood or something on your chin. You're not a vampire, right?"

I started laughing manically and shadow-traveled right in front of him. I lay the blade of my scythe around the back f his neck and pressed the blade of my scimitar to his throat. I smirk. "You're not going anywhere."

Charlie swallowed, breathing heavily and shakily. "I...I..." He choked out, looking in fear at the Son of Thanatos. "I just helped you get over your best friend's death! Or was that I lie? Oh gods...Oh gods...Oh gods, oh gods, oh gods...." Charlie gasped, panicking.

Charlie looked at Alastor in disbelief. He continued to looked shocked for a moment before he looked a bit angry. Before he could actually stop himself, Charlie slapped the demi-god. "THAT WASN'T FUNNY."

Charlie hissed in pain, his whole body jolting to the side as the hand made contact with his face. "Agh...I...I think I might be going soon, if your attitude doesn't approve." He muttered, though it probably wouldn't matter much to the other demi-god. Charlie put his hand to the place where he was slapped, grumbling.

MKy laughing started slowing down. "Sorry. Raw meat make my mind foggy, but it makes me crazy too. I ate some to try forgetting about Griffin." I said sadly. "Anyways, see you around." I said, running off.
