Roller Derby Match

Josefina had wanted to move him to her car: she could've turned on the heat and then he'd be okay for sure. But she was worried that he was in too fragile of a condition to move. So she clung to the poor boy, and prayed that he wouldn't get pneumonia while he was out here. As time passed, she fell asleep.

Jackson saw that she was asleep, holding him tightly in his arms, the blanket wrapped them. "Thanks" he whispered as he looked around, seeing the snow falling faster now. Bringing together what he had recovered of his strength he pulled the blanket tighter around them, looking at her in such a caring state, he wasnt sure as to disturb her yet, staying still could actually help

Jo awoke with a snort. She shook her head and yawned, then looked to her injured... Dare she call him a friend? No. Best not get your hopes up.

Jackson glanced at her "have a plan I assume?" He asked her as the snow continued to pick up, and the tempatire dropped as if the gods were punishing the outskirts of new York, or perhaps only these demigods. We're yet friends? Enemies? He didn't know, but he wanted to.

"You've got hypothermia. I'm not 100% sure how to treat that other than just to keep you warm. We're snowed in it seems. My truck doesn't do well in the snow. If you can walk, I'd like to get you in there," She said glacing over to the big, old red truck. "I could turn the heat on. I'm scared you might catch pneumonia. You know, for a while there, I was worried you might not wake up at all," She admitted, chuckling.

Odd, really. She found herself trusting him more this time around.

Jackson groaned "I've been in worse than this@ he muttered, which wasnt exactly true.....even though he loved to do intense snowball fights with his friends back home. "Lets go, I think I can walk with help" he groaned as he tried to stand, but his legs were weakened from the cold, and they were quickly going numb. "How did you find me?" He asked, standing with her support.

She kept him up as best she could as the two stumbled towards the car. "I left the rink, and I saw hair poking up out of the snow

"Just my luck" he mumbled as they got to the large red truck. "Sis you win? You've been doing so well all season....."

"Yeah we won," Jo said pridefully as she helped him into the back seat. Despite already knowing the answer, she asked anyways: "how would you know how well I've been doing?"

He blushed as he shifts around on the seat. "I uh....kinda have been attending every race in disguise, just in case you didn't want me around" he shivered a little in the cold. "After our last encounter, I wasn't sure how you would like me watching your every race"

"But why?" She asked.

BIC: "I....I guess I was worried because of yor shoulder" he pulled the blanket closer around himself for warmth.

Jo swallowed thickly. "Ain't gotta worry about me. I'm always alright, me," she said, suddenly feeling an overwhelming sense of guilt. This was her fair, he'd be alright if it weren't for her stupid matches. "You'll be alright though,"

Jackson grinned. "Well, we have afew hours until sunrise, and even then its gonna be a bit to escape the snow...so what should we talk about?" he asked her as he enjoyed the warmth. He wondered if he was her friend...or foe.

"Nothing," she said, then quickly added: "you need rest. You're going to get pneumonia at this rate,"

Jackson nodded and yawned as he closed his eyes, certain he could trust her

Josefina had always been a rather motherly figure. She was tough as nails and would beat your ass in two seconds flat, but she'd never turn away someone already hurt or sick.

Jo sat in the front seat of the truck and punched the bridge of her nose. Her mind was spinning at a thousand miles an hour.

jackson slept for afew hours until he finally came too with a yawn. He glanced at her and smiled alittle, rhinking. "you ok?" he asked as he watched her stare out the glass into the whiteout the blizzard had created

"Fine." Was all she said. She felt sort of mixed up inside. Torn between hating this kid for trying to kill her or feeling compassion and sympathy because he was cold and sick. She shook her head rather vigorously and leaned it against the icy glass.

Jackson sighed a little and opened up the zipper pocket in his jacket, bringing out a hand warmer, a lighter, and wha was left with a snickers bar. "so...have anything we should talk about?" he inquired, disturbed by the silence.

"Perhaps we should see if we can get ourselves back to camp," She said, off-topic.

"i doubt it...we are pretty much snowed in" he observed

"Hm..." She agreed. Her eyes flickered back to Jack. "Are you alright? You look a bit... peaky,"

Jackson shrugged "maybe it's the ADHD, maybe it's the nervousness that we are trapped in snow, maybe it's the fact that I just got out pf being a Jackson-sickle for the rest of my life. I really don't know...." He glanced at the various things in the truck. "I just feel like talking"

Jo smirked. "So I take it that you aren't tired then," She said with a chuckle.
