Chillin' in the Grove

As they walked, it got darker, almost to the point where they couldn't see. "We should turn back, or you should go back to camp." Zero said,

"Yeah I probably should go..." Kaity was pretty disappointed,zero seemed cool not like the other campers. She looked around. "Aren't there monsters out here?" Kaity looked around thinking about going out for a hunt.

Zero shrugged. "If there were monsters, its not in this part of the forest."

Kaity sighed. "Hmm guess I just wander around..."

Zero didn't really understand what her problem was, but he started feeling guilty. "Alright, I've got another sleeping bag back at the grove. You're welcome to stay." He said slowly.

Kaity smiled. "That's the problem...I don't really go to sleep." She sighed. "Every night I wake up screaming from all my bad memories. I don't want to wake you."

Zero was running out of options. He was slightly uncomfortable when he thought about this, but he said, "Well... If you're going to wake up screaming when you sleep alone, you're... Welcome to sleep in my sleeping bag."

Kaity felt her cheeks grow hot. "Uhm I can't do that to you. You seem uncomfortable." Kaity looked at him.

"That's because I don't usually have people's around me. I'm more of that 'creepy guy in the woods' type of person." Zero said, shrugging. "Hey, its your call."

Kaity laughed. "Well I guess so. I have no where else to go."

Zero nodded and led the way back to the grove.

Kaity followed behind. "This is the longest I have ever talked to anyone in awhile." She smiled.

"Same goes for me. I don't usually have people crossing my path." Zero said, finally arriving at their destination.

"Yeah." Kaity sat down on the log. "Want me to make a fire?"

Zero shrugged, "Honestly, you can do whatever you want around here. Its just us."

Kaity nodded and grabbed some supplies to start a fire. She rubbed the sticks together and added some brush until a spark lit the wood on fire. She blew until the flame grew bigger and added more sticks. "Ahh that feels great."

Zero leaned against a tree, crossing his arms. He looked up into the night sky, closing his eyes. It made him feel relaxed.

Kaity layed down next to the fire and closed her eyes. The heat making her tired.

As soon asphe heard her lay her head, and pushed himself off of the tree and slid into his sleeping bag. It was a pretty good nightr, Zero thought.

Kaity opened her eyes softly and looked up at the moon. She knew she wasn't going to get any sleep tonight.

"If you're still up, I advise you to go into your sleeping bag. It gets pretty cold around these parts." Zero said.

Kaity turned to him and smirked. "Okay thanks." She crawled into the sleeping bag and peered up at the moon.

Zero sighed, watching his frosty breath.
